We took some much needed time to visit family. On the way home we stopped off in St. Joseph, Illinois for a tasty protein shake at . Highly recommend the mango-pineapple shake and the chocolate brownie batter shake.

Our final senior spotlight is Nathan Milharcic. Nathan started working towards the end of February in 2020. He only had a couple of events under his belt and then due to the pandemic, didn’t have a chance to really get going until the middle of July. Nathan is always “thankful for the opportunity” to serve. This can be seen in his life outside of serving coffee as well. He will be studying at Purdue University this fall and we are really going to miss this guy and his incredible smile.

Our next featured senior is sweet Jillian Hicks. Jillian has been a great asset to our cup above family. She is the epitome of service with a smile, even in the wee hours of the morning. Jillian is an accomplished writer with aspirations of publishing her own fantasy/sci-fi novels. We will be the first in line to purchase them! Jillian has started her own cleaning service and will be attending The Author’s Conservatory. We are thrilled to have her still serve with us when she can.

Our next senior spotlight is on Alyssa Greene. Ally came to us last September. Even though she may be small, don’t let her size fool you! She is a bundle of energy and we are so thankful that she’s joined our coffee family. She has a very caring spirit that can be seen in her relationships with others. She plans to hang around and attend college to become a dental hygienist. We are so thankful that she is able to continue to work with us when she’s available.

Senior spotlight: Clara and Reyna Deas. We have been so blessed to have all 6 of the Deas kids as part of our Cup Above family. With the graduations of Clara and Reyna, we feel like parents with an empty nest!! We are so grateful for both of them and wish them the best as they attend Cedarville University in the fall. Thank you Discovery Days for having us. It is always a pleasure to come and serve.

Thank you to A Cup Above Coffee Catering for providing breakfast, coffee, and smoothies for our staff as we kick off our first classroom clean-up day!
We were also blessed a couple weeks ago by one of our preschool moms who provided us with lunch during Teacher Appreciation Week. Then today, another of our preschool moms brought in homemade, traditional Ethiopian dishes for lunch! Thank you so much, ladies!!
