We realize there are a lot of fundraisers and donation sites set up right now all over our area for the flood victims, but if you could, please donate to Legacy Dance Center in Clyde. Dance is often the only outlet some kids have in their lives. We are very fortunate to not be experiencing this type of loss right now. Our prayers are with our dance neighbors 🙏🏻

Although many have regained cell phone and internet service, we will still NOT be participating in the parade nor will company perform at the fair Wednesday.
Wasting gas and money for a parade/peformance is an irresponsible thing to do right now in my opinion, when the money for these things could be going to help our neighboring counties who literally have nothing left.

Classes for both locations will remain canceled for this week and accounts will be adjusted to reflect this.

Update 9/29

I’m trying to send this out to the studios or Facebook or both but I don’t have internet or phone service, so I may be talking to myself right now but it’s worth a shot.

Due to the extensive nature of the storm impacts in our area, we will not have classes this week. Communication lines are down and I do not feel comfortable being responsible for so many children without a way to contact parents in case of an emergency.

We will also NOT participate in the Cherokee parade this Tuesday if it goes on as scheduled. This is because I am unable to pick up the candy and float decorations in Asheville due to the devastation in Buncombe County. The storm also delayed us getting our shirts, so they will be given out as soon as I receive them.

I’m trying to find information regarding the fair Wednesday but honestly I would rather just say that we will not be attending because I have no way to communicate with y’all to set up meeting times and pick up times or to even know if they’re still doing it.

I’m not sure how many people are without phone and internet, but I am one of them therefore if you have tried to reach me with questions, I have not been ignoring you, I simply don’t have a way to receive or respond to messages, calls, texts, emails, etc. I’ve had to travel around to find an internet connection to share this information and I simply can’t sit here all day responding individually.

Also, if ANYONE in robbinsville is able to see this, could I ask that someone please go put a sign on that door that there will be NO classes this week.
