Today at BAMA! Saturday Smart Budget $100 Tourney!

$100 Saturday 3 pm tournament. 15 minute blinds. 6 rounds to enter, and re-buy. Entries are $80 to the prize pool, $15 house, $5 dealers. Rebuys are $60. $50 prize pool, $5 house, $5 dealers. Dealers appreciate any tips from winners.
Snacks, small plates or sandwiches to eat, but not a full meal. Beverages limited to water, pop, domestic beers.
The tournament should be done in 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours.
1-2 200 and 1-3 cash games available by 4:30 as rebuys end. Look for special promos. Looking to make this a weekly event.

Today at BAMA. Rainy! A perfect day for Poker!

5 PM (until 9 PM). Pick up a small cone on us at Scoops on Central near Walden, or Mary Moo’s in Niagara Produce on Transit. Mention “Donkey Slayer” when you order!

5:45 PM. Our Doors open with 6 PM start. Table 1 will be 1-2 200 max! Already 5 players reserved. More relaxed, more recreational. Bad beat still applies, as does hourly high hands and wild cards. Food and beverages are free. We will have a $50 free roll at 7 players and another $50 when the table fills. High hands start at 8 pm.

7 PM. 1-3 500 match stack will start. We will have a $50 free roll at 7 players and another $50 when the table fills. High hands start at 9 pm. When we get 2 tables, $100 high hands.

WSOP will be on TV and Baseball. The Bad Beat Jackpot is $12.6K. From 6-8 pm the qualifying hand is AAA99, otherwise AAAKK has to be beat.

Canada Day. I have so many Canadian family and friends. If you are Canadian and have a last name of Adams, Mcleod (or MacLeod), Walberg, or Fourget, you might be related (or Dangerfield, Barnum, or Stephenson).
I cannot forget my many Martial Arts friends from North of the Border. Legacy, Borkowski, Therien, Gilpin, Hogarth are a few of the many names that come to mind.

4 pm 1-3 cash starts.
Monday Funday Tournament #3 will start at 6 pm. Cash at 4 pm for 1K extra in tourney chips per hour. This is only $120 buy in with $60 rebuys. 15 minute rounds. Please let us know if you’re coming!

If cash goes down, it should resume at 8:30. Bonus. Any tourney player joining cash after tourney, will get $10 bonus chips on your stack, after 1 hour of play!

Our dealers are Kristopher, Andrew and Duke. TD is Mike B. Tournament is usually finished by 11.

A memorial service for Roger Thompson , will be held next weekend. Roger, age 64, who often played pub poker with his son Andrew, at Caputi’s and other venues, enjoyed poker a great deal, where he made friends.

The service will be held at Victoria Church, 688 Tonawanda Street, Buffalo, New York. Riverside area. August 19th at 11:30 a.m.

All are welcome if you knew him, his family or friends, to celebrate his life.

Oct 2nd, BAMA poker is having a $20 tourney with a $600 guaranteed prize pool at 2 pm. 15 minute blinds. 6 rounds to enter and re-enter.
Followed by 1-2 cash game. More details to come.

Update: Saturday, October 2nd, we had scheduled a $20 rebuy tourney for 2 pm, that due to a staffing issue and a plumbing problem, we have to reschedule.
Our apologies. We will reopen at 7 in the evening for cash games.
Monday’s bounty tourney and Wednesday’s First Wednesday of the Month are both still scheduled and on track for next week.

With heavy heart, I must announce the loss of Keith Kramer Wolfman. He was in hospital the last few days due to blood sugar spike, and had a cardiac arrest at 5:25 this a.m.
He loved life, karaoke, smoke, poker in Las Vegas at WSOP, and locally in the bar leagues, his motorcycle, and his friends.
Irreverent, vocal, you always knew where you stood with him. He was handy, and would always lend a helping hand.
We will all miss him.

To all pub poker players around WNY,
Thanks for all your support the last few years, and I am sure that David W and David A feel the same way for previous years.
With bars being closed or at reduced capacity most of this last year, I am keeping Buffalo Pub Poker on hiatus.
I want to stay in touch, and I appreciate the many friendships acquired.
I will post here from time to time to stay in touch and perhaps restore BPP in better times.
In the meantime, some of our players are online using Pppoker app, and some are playing at some home games. If you want more info on these, please join Donkey Slayer on FB.
