To all Bills Mafia: On Monday - Bring coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to our donation bins to benefit the Friends of the Night People and drop off at the Water Buffalo Club 716 donation bins at the Big Tree Inn OP parking lot.
Also, we have a special guest on Monday. Damien Cusick and his family are visiting from Australia. This is their first time ever to a Bills game. We are making the tailgate an Australian-themed tailgate in honor of them. So bring your best "Cheers Mate" or "G-Day" to the party!
Damien will also be formally inducted into the Water Buffalo Club 716. He has been a Bills fan since 1988.
“In Australia back then, we used to get an hour-long summary of the week's games at 10 pm on a Tuesday night. Hosted by an American called Don Lane. I instantly fell in love with Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas and Bruce Smith etc. It was so hard in the late 80’s and 90’s to get to see the NFL in Australia. Now, in Australia, we watch all Bills games live on DAZN. We will be up at 3 am Sydney time to watch 1 pm games. My two boys are the biggest Bills fans in Australia. Ryan, my oldest, can recall every game the Bills have played in the last 12 years or so and tell you the score.”
Damien is an avid collector of Bills merchandise. “I have over 120 t-shirts, 80 hoodies, and approximately 25 caps. I’ve got signed Josh Allen memorabilia like helmets and figurines.”
In Australia, he runs a pub in Gosford, NSW, about an hour from Sydney.
“We broadcast all NFL games and Super Bowl Day is our biggest of the year. We have over 400 people in at 9am drinking Budweiser and eating chicken wings.”
I don't think Labatts beer is available in Australia!
