And also any who participated in Casino Night 2024 where we raised funds for school supplies for today or donated items throughout the year

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! Come join us for an afternoon of fun!

We have over 300 backpacks of school supplies to give out free. Free haircuts, free clothes, free shoes, popsicles, free hot dogs and drinks, kids games and more for kids from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

We are looking for vehicles for a touch a truck at Back To School Bash 2024 at Maxtons Park in Butler from 2-5pm. Firetrucks, cop cars, race cars, monster trucks, mud trucks, school buses, motorcycles, semis, construction equipment etc are all welcomed. Contact us if you are interested or comment and tag us.

We have over 300 backpacks of school supplies to give out free. Free haircuts, free clothes, free shoes, snow cones, free hot dogs and drinks, kids games and more for kids from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

Filling backpacks started last night for the Back to School Bash!! Come join us for an afternoon of fun on July 7.

Huge shout out to City of Butler Indiana Government for allowing us to use there upstairs space to prep the backpacks. And to Shannon & Nate Marquis for all your help with this event. Also thanks to all that came to or donated To Casino Night 2024 as that is where these funds where raised

We would like to thank everyone that sponsored, donated, volunteered time and/or attended Casino Night 2024. We were able to raise $4,302.57 after cost of casino night. With that we will be able to fill 300 backpacks with school supplies to give out to Back To School Bash on July 7th. And also donate the following to be gave away at Butler Days

Asking for community help with this. Right now there is possibility that this event could be canceled due to low ticket sales which means no backpacks for kids and less kids getting a chance to win a new bicycle.

Last year over 300 backpacks were gave out full of school supplies from the funds raised at this and over 500 wreaths placed on veterans graves for wreath across america. This year we using the money to fill backpacks again and buy bicycles to give away at Butler Days. Any child is eligible for the backpack or to win a bicycle. We are also accepting raffle items and Silent Auction items for the event.Asking for community help with this. The Dekalb County Eastern Community Event Organizers (Connie Collins Bungard, Tracey Robideau & Seth Gump) and Gump's Smokin' BBQ would like to thank all you who came tonight to the Free Community Christmas Dinner we sponsored and hosted at the Butler American Legion Post 202. We were able to feed 176 people which included 21 meals delivered to the nurses at Laurels of DeKalb Nursing Home, 35 meals delivered to people who were unable to get out, 1 Butler police office, and 119 take out or dine in meals. We attached a few pics our volunteers got tonight. We attached a few pics that one of our volunteers took tonight

HONOR OUR VETERANS
On Saturday December 16th at Noon at the Butler Cemetery we will be having Wreaths Across America Ceremony. Using the funds we collected at Casino Night this year we were able to purchase 471 Wreaths to place on military veterans graves. This year we will be placing on every veterans grave at the following cemeteries: Butler, Butler Memorial Gardens, Big Run, Warentbe, Mt. Pleasant, Rude, Krontz and Norris. There will be a ceremony along with guest speakers and the military color guard. Attached are pictures of every veterans names at those cemeteries. We have walked each cemetery recorded the names and location of each grave. We are asking for the following help to make this a success event to honor our military: if you have family or friends on the list and know their rank, branch, war they served please comment below their name and that information if not listed or the listing isn't correct. We are also asking for volunteers to lay the Wreaths on the Graves, if you would like to volunteer please contact one of the following Individuals

Butler’s Outdoor Farmers Market will be every Saturday from 10am-3pm starting May 6 and will go through October. Stop by and check out all the vendors. Right now we have over 20 vendors signed up!

Thank you to all our sponsors, all our volunteers and event staff and everyone who donated items and attended Casino Night for School Supplies & Wreaths Across America. We happy to announce that last night the event raised $10,277. This will allow is to purchase roughly 513 Wreaths to be placed Military Personnel's Graves in Eastern Dekalb County at christmas and 329 backpacks with basic school supplies to be handed out at the Back To School Bash on July 9th.
