Congratulations to Jeff and Danielle Conrad. Married on a Thursday night, they celebrated with their kids, family and friends at the Boatwerks restaurant and Event center. It was a rainy afternoon but it didn’t dampen their spirits or the celebration. We were even treated to a 28 minute fireworks show over the lake, courtesy of Gentex. It was loud, brilliant and awesome! Congratulations Jeff and Danielle! Wishing you blessings and much joy!

And now for something completely different: A Thursday wedding! I got the chance to be a part of Hannah Koning’s and Kyler Marble’s ceremony and reception at the beautiful Alaska Haus venue in Caledonia. We were blessed with a beautiful afternoon for an outdoor ceremony and enjoyed a delicious meal at a fun reception where family and friends danced until the end. Some spontaneous karaoke even broke out!! Congratulations!! God bless you both in the vows you’ve declared and the life you now share together!

My first event of 2024 was a birthday party for our friend Luke, from church, who turned 25 years old. His family and several of his friends came together to celebrate, and we had a great time with music, dancing, co****le, indoor bowling, and snacks. Happy 25th, Luke!!

 on the nicest day in a while, I got to spin some tunes  during the Byron Center Charter School’s walkathon, and encourage them to “walk 500 miles”, to be “walking on sunshine”, and to “walk this way”, and then some! 😎. What a great way to make some new connections in my new community!

This past Saturday DJ Rick was actually Uncle Rick as we enjoyed attending the wedding of our nephew Eric to Megan while visiting our daughter Kristina, her husband John and their family in Vermont. It was fun being able to celebrate their marriage with family and friends. John MC'd the reception while DJ Rick played the music for the rest of the night. It was a fun evening. Congratulations, Eric and Megan! We wish you the Lord's Blessings as you share life together!
Dear friends: "DJ Rick" DJ services will be relocating! I will be moving to West Michigan, to Byron Center, for a new job, mid-December. Therefore, I will no longer be available as a DJ for the NW Indiana area from hereon in. Thank you, each and every one of you, for all the encouragement and support that I have experienced along the way. I have truly enjoyed celebrating those special wedding moments with so many of you, during your ceremonies and at your receptions, or school dances and group parties, providing sound and music and MC services. It's truly been an honour to have been a part of your lives in that way. I've also enjoyed getting to know many of the fabulous vendors, wedding coordinators, and others who help make everyone's wedding a success! DJ Rick had a GREAT TIME at Troy and Ronda’s wedding last night at the Courthouse Maki Ballroom in Crown Point, on behalf of Trans Audio Mobile Music. Family and friends were out in full support, and the dance floor was kept quite busy! Thankful for a fun crowd.

DJ RICK got to do something a little different tonight. I provided music for an alumni homecoming event at Culver Academies, on the lawn overlooking Culver lake. The event wasn’t too long but the weather was great, and there were fireworks across the lake, unrelated to homecoming, and they were awesome!
