Within the next couple of weeks we will start planting thousands of teeny tiny seeds, tray after tray. Carefully watering, rotating and fanning them as they germinate and grow.

The quiet part of the season is about to come to an end and I feel a sense of urgency to make sure everything gets done before Spring, when we will start welcoming people to the farm for U Pick experiences. I'm so nervous and excited 🤪

Will people make the drive?
Will they enjoy the field and view as much as we do?
Will the mosquitoes be bad?
How do we plan for everything that could happen?!

I've been praying that this is more than just flowers for all of us, it is hope, beauty, connection to nature, a smile on a bad day, warmth in someone's heart...more than just flowers!!!

Flashback to right before Halloween when we planted ONE THOUSAND tulip bulbs! Not long after this the deer breached the fence and munched alllll of that vegetation around this bed to nothing! Hoping and praying for vigorous tulip blooms in the Spring to share with you all! Stay tuned and make sure to follow our page for updates :D

2025 is coming fast and we have exciting decisions to make! I learned a lot from year one on what I loved growing (Bells of Ireland, Cosmos and Zinnias!!) and what I wouldn't necessarily grow again (Marigolds and Celosia) but it's still SO overwhelming to choose varieties and colors! What are your absolute favorite color palletes, aromas and varieties to see in a bouquet?

Today I made my last bouquet of the season from flowers I cut almost three weeks ago before the freezing temps...they still look pretty dang good! One season of being a flower farmer in the books and 1000 tulip bulbs in the ground for next spring!

My biggest takeaways....1. I can't believe we did it, there were so many times I walked into that field in awe and thanked God for how beautiful it was (a lot of times I walked into that field pi**ed and frustrated too haha) 2. THANK YOU to everyone who ordered and supported our new biz, I can't explain adequately how happy it makes me to share these with you...to see people smile when they pick them up and the messages of "I gave them to so and so and they loved them!" I get it, they are flowers and I'm not changing the world but adding a little brightness to someones world is pretty great.

We ended up growing WAY more than we thought we would and many never got cut so we are looking for feedback and working to improve and change to make the flowers more accessible to those who would like them! We are strongly considering having 'You Pick' experiences next season, where you come to the farm and pick stems for a bouquet to take home, additional items from our farm like farm fresh eggs and raw honey would also be available. We'd love for you to share our page and comment below your favorite cut flower varieties!! Thank you!!!
