The art of photography is seeing the light. Adding or subtracting light. Setting the camera to see what you want it to see. Setting yourself to be in the right place at the right moment. Sometimes you luck out and nature takes care of that for you. Most times you have to set the stage, bring in lights, background and rearrange your subject to meet your vision and their’s.
I lucked out on this image but I did have to search for the perfect blossom and made sure I was not blocking the sun.

This spring I am working recording dance competitions. One of the dance competitions were in Hawaii. This was recorded on my day off on April 8, 2024 when most the world was watching the solar eclipse. I was site seeing.
