***Community meeting to enhance Carbondale’s downtown neighborhoods***

Please join us for a community meeting on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, to enhance Carbondale’s core downtown neighborhoods.

Residents and property owners are invited to join this community visioning meeting to:
▪ Introduce this three-month neighborhood planning effort.
▪ Review & prioritize recent community enhancement recommendations.
▪ Seek your input on where and how to enhance parks, streets, sidewalks, trails, and aging properties.

Everyone, including residents and property owners from the core downtown neighborhoods of the City of Carbondale

As our Beautiful Blocks program prepares to launch for 2024 in Scranton, Carbondale, and (new for 2024!) Pittston, we invite residents of those cities to join us to learn more about the program process.

Our community development staff will be hosting public information sessions in early February about the Beautiful Blocks process in each community. Each information session will be held at the public library in the respective cities, and will allow residents to learn more about the application, selection, and project processing phases of this year's Beautiful Blocks cycle.

If you are a resident of the City of Scranton, City of Carbondale, or City of Pittston, please plan to join us for the information session in your community. The dates, times, and locations of the session are as follows:

Carbondale: Monday, February 5, 5:30 p.m., Carbondale Public Library (Community Room)

Pittston: Tuesday, February 6, 6:00 p.m., Pittston Memorial Library (John P. Cosgrove Center)

Scranton: Wednesday, February 7, 6:00 p.m., Scranton Public Library (Henkelman Room)
