35mm film: A bit of what Iโve been up to latelyโฆ
1. Our new and young yellow roses looking good and healthy. (What is the yellow strip on the bottom? I opened the back of the camera way too soon before I had the roll completely rolled up๐ซฃ .) -1967 Minolta on Portra 400
2. Shadow and wish flowers (aka dandelions)-1967 Minolta on Portra 400
3. Family picnic ๐งบ- Pentax P&S on Portra 400
4. My husband cutting a line around the first raised garden bed so we can dig bigger holesโฆ then level them, โฆthen fill them. It was a lot of work but finally done! -Pentax P&S on Portra 400
5. Blueberry Lemon cookies (I got creative and am officially addicted to my new recipe) and more spring time pretty blooms -Pentax P&S on Portra 400
6. Landscaping. We moved into our home last August, tore out the old landscape and starting fresh (a ton of exhausting but well worth it work as well)! Lots of roses, azaleas and hydrangeas! Smells so amazing around here!

-1967 Minolta on Ilford 3200 B&W
7. One of my many favorite spots in our yard. This is where the birds eat and my view from the kitchen sink window. -Pentax P&S on Portra 400
8. Pedals in the pool. Sunset. -Pentax P&S on Portra 400
9. Favorite tree in the backyard. -Pentax P&S on Portra 400
10. Winter after the great bad freeze. One of our pipes busted in the dishwasher and hereโs an oh so lovely portrait of him fixing the wall he and my dad had to tear apart to get to it!
Iโve REALLY been enjoying our new home and spending so much time outdoors getting my hands dirty and making it our own. And of course making most beautiful memories. Recently Iโve made an intention to shoot more film outside of work. Due to the high price of film these days, I was very hesitant to use it for โfunโ and family memories.
Iโve certainly changed my mind about the way Iโm going to use film from now on. The way film captures these memories vs our cell phones is just too unbeatable. Iโm sticking to classic film, ordering my prints and sticking them in old fashion photo albums and frames. Worth every. single. penny.
