To the woman behind it all! 💐She would give me a good “talkin to” if she knew I took these but I had to capture this special moment. 🤍

Lawd, growing up Momma and I would butt heads anytime I would help her …Just ask Anna Pitchford. 😂 We’re both just a little too headstrong 😬 What she doesn’t know though is I would watch and study every cut and placement she would make. Momma always made it look so effortlessly perfect. 

So, now anytime my mom can help me or show me some tricks of the trade…I will willingly and gratefully soak in all I can. I love these moments with her. She’s the best there is at flowers and I hope I’m just half as good as her one day!

When a sweet friend from your middle and high school days ask you to do their wedding, of course you say yes! The bride and groom were married in the same church the brides grandparents were married in and under an arch that her dad built specially for them.

I love a wedding that has what I call “meaningful moments”. Special things that you add to the wedding to look back on in pictures or memories and smile because you chose to do that for a specific special reason. 🤍 Wishing this amazing couple a lifetime of happiness!!!

Last wedding of the year ended on a sweet note! I’ve worked with the Mother of the bride and the couple for a year bringing this special day to life. The bride and groom are finishing up Vet and PA school. I’ve told them all along if they can plan a wedding this size and endure the intense schooling they have to do, then they will last a lifetime! Plus, in the little down time they have. The groom made all the beautiful signage and paper trees! A lot of love went into this wedding and it showed yesterday. Wishing this sweet couple a beautiful life together!

Also, a huge thank you to my crew that helped me get this done! From helping make flower arrangements to cleaning up. As always… I couldn’t have done it without yall!

I didn’t get many photos from this wedding but this is the beautiful set up that the bride had envisioned. It didn’t need a lot of decor because the church itself was so special to the couple with so much history and love. I was honored to help these sweet friends with their special day! Great Gatsby themed party for Shelby Dental Care at the beautiful historic Banker’s House. Thanks for entrusting us to help make your event one of a kind! Their manager came to us with a vision and we helped bring it to life! It definitely had all the feels of the roaring 20’s last night!

I was never really thrilled with my business name since I started this little venture. I’ve always wanted something that stood apart from my photography. I thought of all kinds of names, but I kept coming back to the reason I even know anything about floral design, and that all comes from my ever so talented sweet momma! That’s where Deep Southern Roots comes from. I literally have deep roots in the floral industry and Vickie and I are both southern as they come, so it was just meant to be! Picture…Steel Magnolias, but more Ouiser Boudreaux! 😂

We’re still the same business just with a new and more meaningful name. ❤️ Thank you to everyone that’s supported us thus far! I wouldn’t be at this point without each one of you putting your faith in me. If you have a wedding or special event coming up soon please keep us in mind for all your floral and decorating needs!
