We started a toy store this year to give something to the community we thought it needed and missed. What we instead received has been absolutely overwhelming. The outpouring of support and encouragement from Castro Valley and beyond has been astonishing. We could not be more humbled and grateful to every single person that came in to our store since we opened in July. As we take this week to reset and prepare for 2024, we wanted to quickly say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! We can’t wait to show you all what we have in store for 2024.

We just finished up our first day, and what an incredible response from this community. Looks like we'll have to start restocking sooner than we thought. We are blessed to be a part of this incredible community and are so happy and grateful for the support. Thank you especially to Castro Valley News for posting about our opening. A huge number of people that came in were a direct result of your post this morning. Thank you so much and we will see you all at The Prize Booth in the days, weeks, months, and hopefully years to come.

- CASTRO VALLEY TOY STORE OPENS TODAY -

Erin, Tim, and Emerson Fritts, owners of The Prize Booth, have lived in Castro Valley since 2014. Erin had a successful career as a florist, a party planner and stylist, and now has decided to focus locally and bring a toy store back to Castro Valley. Erin used to visit the Village Toy Shop as a child and, like many others in town, has missed having a fun place in town to shop for kids. Tim is a voice over artist and actor and is also very excited to be a part of this new venture. Emerson will be a 4th grader at Chabot Elementary this fall and, as she puts it, “wants everything in the store."

The Prize Booth, located at 4270 Seven Hills Road is very excited to open its doors today, July 13th, at 10:00am. Feel free to stop by and check it out and maybe even buy yourself something fun.

Hi! Welcome to The Prize Booth! My name is Erin and I am one of the owners, the others are my husband Tim and my kiddo Emerson. I grew up going to the village toy store and miss having a fun spot full of magic and imagination, so we decided let’s make that happen! We cannot wait to see all of your smiling faces when we open in July! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi! I'm Tim from The Prize Booth. Along with my wife, Erin, and our daughter, Emerson, we are so excited that Castro Valley News was willing to help us announce the launch of our new toy store, The Prize Booth, which will be located at 4270 Seven Hills Road. We are also incredibly humbled by the outpouring of support and well wishes from this dynamite community. Erin grew up coming to visit her grandparents in Castro Valley and would often head to the village toy store back in the 80s. We are thrilled to be able to bring a toy store back to Castro Valley! For the next few weeks we will be making final touches and plan to open just after the 4th of July. If you follow us we'll provide updates on our progress and keep you in the know. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 😀

- There's a new toy store in the works on Seven Hills Road called "The Prize Booth" that will open in about a month. The husband of the owner, Timothy, messaged us that he and his wife Erin (it is her shop) are really looking forward to open in Castro Valley. From what the sign in the window says, they will carry craft projects, books, puzzles, toys and a number of other items.
