Audrey and I are all set up for face painting for Third Thursday at Twin Ponds Campsite and ready to hear some great music from Annie in the Water. The band starts at 7, so there's still time to make it out. That quick downpour has broken the heat and will hopefully be all the rain we see today! If not, there's a big Pavillion to hang out under.

I'd like to send a huge thank you to Morrisonville Elementary School's 2nd grade teachers for inviting me out to paint today. It was a whirlwind, but so rewarding! Any day I can put smiles on kids' faces is a good day.

This evening, I'm off to Twin Ponds Campsite for their Third Thursdays event!

You can find me at the Focus on Ferals, INC. craft fair in Malone tomorrow! I'll have my usual $5 and $10 options.

My son will have his handmade soaps for sale and my daughter will have bouquets of narcissus grown on our farm!

We're all set up on Margaret Street in Plattsburgh until 1 advocating for new tether laws! Dogs deserve a life better than being left on a chain.

While I have had a child fall asleep in my chair before, this was a first for me.

This sweet little boy fell asleep waiting in my line last night. Not wanting him to be disappointed, we went with it and made sure he got his tiger! His Aunt says he was thrilled to wake up to find out he still got painted!

We've been getting a lot of inquiries about Maple Weekend as it draws nearer. The official dates for Maple Weekends across the state of NY are Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17 & 23-24. These are the weekends that participating sugarhouses open their doors to all visitors to experience the magic of making maple syrup with free samples, tours and special maple goodies available only during this annual event.

At our sugar house, it's an all maple festival for the whole community; where family, friends and neighbors gather after the long winter to enjoy this uniquely North Country rite of Spring. Visitors learn about the process of making maple syrup from maple tree sap, including taste testing the different grades of maple syrup. Wagon rides take visitors to see the maple sugar bushes where the sap is gathered. After a brisk wagon ride, warm up in the cozy Pancake House where our staff serves a fresh and hot all-you-can-eat breakfast with unlimited pure maple syrup. For dessert, the sugarhouse has tasty treats like maple soft serve ice cream, milkshakes, cotton candy and maple cream frosted donuts. It's a great chance to soak up everything maple, but it's only a short time so don't miss out.
