Gene Doucette left this letter for us with his neighbor. She called to tell us she had it for us and then forwarded it to us. He was always thinking of others—even at the end. He will always be with us in our hearts.❤️

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing our dearest friend and mentor, Gene Doucette yesterday, September 13, 2024 of a sudden heart attack at his home in Los Angeles.
He was as close to me and Butch as a brother, and was Michael’s Godfather. For the last 40 + years we’ve been as close as any family could be.

He did independent design work for many high profile clothing designers. He was one of the original designers of Elvis Presley’s clothing, and one of our two mentors. He did the embroidery work on Elvis Presley’s costumes and those of many other entertainers.

In his later years he worked doing the embroidery on the costumes for us here at B&K Enterprises. He retired just before Covid hit and his very talented assistant, Gabriel took over the embroidery work for us. We will deeply mourn his loss, but production will continue.

We will post more as we learn more regarding memorial services, etc.

We were sad to hear that our dear friend and customer, Jeffery Garmon, passed away on July 5. He was such a lovely and caring person. We will miss him. Our prayers will be with his family.

We are in Portage, Indiana, ready for the 31st annual Elvis FANtasy Fest.
It is such a great festival, for an amazing cause - Special Olympics!!
