Airbnbs | VRBO | B&Bs - this one is for you!

Last season I discovered a love I have for photographing interior spaces! The design, the lines, the details - it's a good change of for someone that is typically photographing people outside all season.

This set of images are from, , the newly renovated rental spaces in downtown Charlevoix. Every inch of every unit was touched with love. Every detail was very intentional. Here's to 2025 and hoping to photograph more interior spaces!

A little different type of post today!

This is a collection from a project I did in college. A walk down memory lane came to me when I stumbled upon a book with a similar idea. This is the house I grew up in until my parents divorced when I was 11. My dad still lives here. Looking at old prints allowed me to revisit memories I once had here and see all the change that's occurred.

I strongly encourage those who have the opportunity to revisit their childhood home or a place that is meaningful to you to do the same.

So many family portraits took place last summer and it's time I share them on here 🥰

It's crazy to think that it's January right now, but summer will be here before we know it and I'm booking portrait sessions for 2025 already. If you're wanting family photos, it is not too early to reach out. Whether it be at your favorite beach skipping rocks, relaxing at your home, or at your favorite campground while camping - I want to document those special little moments in a place that is meaningful to you!

I have a couple business goals this year that I feel I should share on here:

1. I need to post more. I'll be honest, while I have SO MANY beautiful moments I could post, I struggle with providing captions. I find myself feeling like I have nothing to say, or quite the opposite - I have a lot to say and I don't know what to start 🤪 this is something I aim to be better with. And if no words come to mind that day, maybe I'll post an inspiring quote or something. We'll see, a work in progress.

2. I want to take on more events which involve travel again. Outside of Michigan, international, national parks, elopements. Being in new places and exploring allows me to be more creative and my heart is craving it. Never will I ever take for granted the beauty we're surrounded by in northern Michigan and I will continue to explore new places here as well. And of course, there's something super special about the familiar and returning to places that mean so much to us and capturing moments in them. But now that my little toddler is getting older and should she have to travel along with me, if need be, I feel more comfortable and confident doing so. I will be posting more travel content as well in hopes to make this happen!

I'm excited for 2025 and 2026 and these goals I'm setting for myself.

Engagement session, wedding, and now family portraits. It's truly such an honor being able to capture these different seasons of life for my couples. It was so great catching up with A & J while they were in town. We walked around downtown TC and grabbed coffee. It was so charming. So excited for this next season of life they're about to be in ✨

A Saturday morning in the off season

A Saturday morning in the off season. Yesterday the sun was shining and the temps were in the high 30s so we went outside and hiked! Our daughter loves sitting in her @ospreypacks backpack. And for me, my @dannerboots hiking boots, of course! ☀️☀️☀️
