Can we have an honest conversation? 👀…..🤓🫣🫠

Somewhere along the way, shea butter became the celebrity of the skincare world. And while it’s absolutely a wonderful butter, it’s not automatically the best butter for every skin type or every product.

As a formulator, I choose ingredients based on what they’ll actually do—not because they’re trendy.

✨ Shea Butter
• Rich in stearic and oleic acids
• Excellent for very dry or mature skin
• Creates a heavier, protective barrier
• Can feel greasy or waxy for some people
• May not be ideal if you prefer lightweight hydration

🥭 Mango Butter
• Lighter, silkier feel
• Absorbs more quickly
• High in vitamins A, C, and E
• Helps soften and improve skin elasticity
• Great for people who don’t like that heavy, buttery feeling

🌴 Babassu Butter/Oil
• Melts instantly on contact with skin
• Lightweight and non-greasy
• Excellent for oily or combination skin
• Leaves skin feeling soft without feeling coated

🌰 Cocoa Butter
• Extremely protective
• Fantastic for locking in moisture
• Naturally rich in antioxidants
• Firmer texture with that unmistakable chocolate aroma

🥑 Cupuaçu Butter
• One of my personal favorites.
• Holds significantly more water than lanolin, making it exceptional for hydration.
• Deeply moisturizing while still feeling elegant on the skin.
• Helps improve skin flexibility and softness without feeling overly heavy.

There isn’t a “best” butter.

There’s only the best butter for the job.

That’s why I formulate with intention instead of following trends. Your skin deserves ingredients selected for performance—not popularity.

✨ Confetti Soap Surprise! ✨

I stumbled across a stash of artisan soaps that never made it to the website, and instead of letting them sit, I gave them a second life. 💛

Each bar was handcrafted with a blend of skin-loving botanical-infused oils, rich butters, nourishing plant extracts, clays, milks, and other luxurious ingredients. I carefully chopped them up, melted them down, added a fresh fragrance, and transformed them into these one-of-a-kind confetti bars.

The result? A creamy, bubbly lather and a bar packed with the goodness of countless handcrafted recipes all in one. Every speck tells the story of a soap that deserved another chance.

These aren’t for sale. 🥰

After testing, this bar performed so good…you’d think it’s actually ready for sale 🥰👌🏽
To my Sorors… before y’all start zooming in and asking why this soap isn’t “Delta Red” enough, remember I chose Moroccan Red Clay on purpose. 😅
I could have dumped in a mountain of mica and called it a day, but this bar is working harder than it looks.

This oversized beauty (a whopping 4” x 3” x 1.5”) is packed with skin-loving ingredients:

❤️ Tallow – rich in fatty acids that help nourish and condition the skin
🤍 Coconut Oil – creates that bubbly, cleansing lather we all love
❤️ Castor Oil – boosts creamy lather and helps the bar feel luxurious
🤍 Canola Oil – adds conditioning properties and contributes to a gentle cleanse

So yes… she may be giving “burgundy-adjacent” instead of “fire-engine red” 😂 but she’s big, beautiful, and built to last.

Sometimes it’s not about being the loudest color in the room… it’s about being the best bar in the shower. ❤️🤍

And at this size? One bar might outlast a chapter meeting. 😎

Soooooo what has happened waszzzz… STORY TIME 🙃
Trying to make some custom soap 🧼 and the fragrance oil plus the lather booster did not play well when added to the lye and oil mixture… in 15 seconds, my stick blender couldn’t move in the pot 😖🫩🫪😵‍💫
…long story short, the batch seized up and I had to flip it from cold process to hot process 🤗
