Ok.. now that time has passed, and I have recovered a bit, we can go over the carnage count.

1) hands: they lasted all of 30 seconds. Gear sat in the car for more than an hour and a half before the con, and the heat did some serious damage in the form of warpage. They barely even saw the inside of the con.

2) arm: believe it or not, these guys stayed together with the Chicago Srews until after the costume showcase. Next time, we use some lock time and we are golden.

3) legs: these were reworked from the old Dragon costume due to time constraints. I didn't have time to check the fitting after restrapping, so they were uncomfortable as hell and clobbering me all over. Walking was a nightmare, and they are most definitely retired from this point forward.

4) b***y scales: I figured I would have left a trail of scales and golden connectors over the entire convention center, but believe it or not I think I lost only 3. Wow!

5) Ego Cup: yeah, that bad boy was fantastic! Saved me from unmentionable pain and looked mighty manly.. er.. wolfly the entire time. GO NUT CUP!!!

Anyways, post convention depression is over, and I'm already working on a new build for my oldest, as well as getting geared up for some adventures in electroplating!! (Electroforming more like it as I am making pla conductive!)

Ok.. 3am and this is the last round of pics before the con. Still more work to do, but at this point it's time to just show it all slapped together. Barring any problems, the wolf will be done on time. Of course... if you see it at the Charlotte Hero Convention on Sunday and it is face down and snoring somewhere.. well.. you at least know why! So..yeah... made so much use of this particular brand of *ahem* wonderful vodka in the creation of this beast, that I may just ask them for a sponsorship! Lmao!
As it was, the bottles made a great platform for gluing on the needed wolf fur. Who knew my biceps were perfect 1.75 sized rot gut bottles. (Um.. I mean fine and refined spirits bottles!!) Gotta get that funding! 🤣
As promised, the lower abdominal area is strapped now.. just need the right screws to attach them to the side plates. Arms are all built, and as you can see, one is done and wearable. Fits perfect and really does not need strapping to hold it in place. Fur works perfect for that.
Legs are nearly done and as you can see, my Henry the 8th piece is strapped up and ready for some belt placement. Only parts now needed are the fun goodies on my back, and then the gauntlets. Pla+ arrives tomorrow, so by end of UEO day tomorrow, I should be done with all creation. Just down to paint and strapons.. er.. strapping. My bad. 🤣 The further I get on this, the more I am feeling the big bad wolf!!

Chest plate strapped to the front and will be strapped to the sides tomorrow. Got both arms printed now, and just have to finish the paint and strapping for those. Gauntlets are on the printer now and will be done in the am.
Oh.. and just for historical reference, that cod piece was not as over the top as some of ya may think.. ok yeah.. mine DOES light up, but hey.. they had some bling back in the day too! Hahahaha! Besides.. those thigh guards hurt like a m**o when they pinch in. Learned that one with the Dragon!! Hahahaha!

Darned near done with the front. Need to do some strapping on the chest plate, the arms and the legs. (Pics would have probably looked better had I strapped the helmet and put on the gorget, but hey.. gotta leave SOME surprises for the con) 😆

Next up comes the fun part. Exo spine replete with glowy glowy wires and tubages all trying into the robotic stuff. Oh.. also the gauntlets. Can't forget those.
