21 years today we entered into our forever.
We are still duking it out and fighting for love because that is what it takes to endure.
Love is not a fairytale. It never has been for us. Its been a fight since day one and we are always grateful to prevail and see another day. Another year. And I do pray for that Notebook ending.
I would not choose any other person.
Love isnt perfection. Love is seeing the imperfections and loving your partner still. This partner must be worthy. Must see YOUR worth. This person must treat you like a PARTNER and walk hand in hand, side by side. Biblically, you are one and the same.
It is eternal work and you must be prepared or eternally stubborn, as in our case.
Choose wisely. Choose lovingly. Choose adoringly. Choose unabashedly. Choose proudly. Let no man put asunder.

It is going to be a double-header post today because today is very special day!
THE BEFORE
SIX years ago today, on our 14th wedding anniversary, we bought the farm!
I mean it was not a farm at all. It was just a lonely brick house in the middle of six acres but with this visual you can truly appreciate the vision and work over the last six years but especially over the last 4 alone.

This past month has been a blur & I have not been able to properly reflect on this wedding that brought me so much joy. I shared this on my personal page the night of the wedding but given we are in month of June celebrating our LGBTQ friends, I feel it necessary to share it here as well.

There is business.
There are weddings.
Then there is purpose.
If you know me, you I am intentional. I am driven by purpose. Led by the Lord to serve others through acceptance & love.
These two sweet “boys” booked sight unseen solely because they heard we were an inclusive venue. They vocalized the resistance they met while searching for vendors and I assured them that I had the perfect planner for them as well.
It was only during their walk-through that I made the comment that their parents must be so proud and learned that they would in fact, not be attending. You could see the hurt. My heart hurt instantly y’all. I’m not built to hate or judge or discriminate. I know how it feels. And it plain hurts.
So if you know me, you also know I’m awkward. 🤗
I felt so maternal in that moment. I just wanted to wrap my arms around them both. Instead I said, “It’s ok. I’ll be your adopted momma.”
Professionalism isn’t my strong suit. I do not know how to be anything but authentic.
Yesterday called for some crazy weather for their dream wedding. I prayed so hard for good weather and the good Lord prevailed. We still had pivot and got plan B which created an immense amount of extra work which I normally do NOT do but I would’ve hung the moon for these two ❤️
This is me all smiles at the end of a 16 hour day, because although my body was exhausted, my heart was so happy.

It’s not often I get included in Thank You speeches. As a venue, the most is expected of us, but often our efforts go unnoticed. While making our rounds and checking on vendors, and I caught this thank you speech that had us both in tears. They thanked me and my family for providing a safe space and “home” to celebrate their love and treating them like family.

There is business.
There are weddings.
Then there is purpose.
Thank you to my sweet boys ❤️ for bringing US joy. 🏳️‍🌈

Thank you to all who joined us last evening alongside Panoram Asados and Wine Theory for an amazing Argentine Asado experience and wine pairing. Everything about the evening was perfect, including the service. We were able to sit down and enjoy the evening with our guests, which is a welcomed first for us! We highly recommend both of these local companies to cater your next intimate event at your house. You will NOT be disappointed, in fact, you will leave with so much joy from this experience.
And thank you to MAC photography for capturing the beauty of the evening ❤️

This couple could have flipped because of the rain that was happening exactly during their elopement. I gave them the option of moving it forward or pairing it back. They said absolutely not. We WANT it to rain. 😱 Now that is my kind of “go with the flow” and unbothered couple. Ain’t nothin breaking these two.

Happy Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month! This an oldie, clearly as our oldest has shot up a foot and now taller than me, but we are seen here celebrating our heritage in traditional barony tagalogs for my parents vow renewal back in 2022. My dad hails from the Philippines.

“Book this venue for your intimate wedding, you won't regret it! Full review: Working with Vanessa and her family was truly a joy and made my wedding planning so much easier. Whether it was access to her decor closet, finding other vendors through her Preferred Vendors page, or just by being prompt and professional to my (many) questions through email, I found myself so grateful through the wedding process for picking this venue. And this is all before considering how GORGEOUS this place is. The main ceremony and reception space are constantly getting upgraded, and the greenhouse is super nice for photos. You can really feel the work, love, and joy that they've built into the place. Plus, the goats are cute! We knew we wanted something intimate and celebratory but not too 'stuffy' and this venue was the perfect fit for us. I cannot recommend Moser Manor Farms and Vanessa highly enough."

Sharing more of those upgrades we have been working on. I just love the arbors and stone walkway from this point of view with that beautiful Kwanzaan Cherry tree in bloom as the backdrop.

Not only that but she supports the women around her who also want to become aspiring business owners, and even event planners, like herself. You ladies know who you are too.
