The students in Ashe Elementary's Art Club, led by teaching artist Jelisa Davis and SECA Marsha Redmon, have finished their first project: plushies! They learned how to work with felt, pom poms, glue, markers, and stuffing in order to put their pieces together.

In addition to Art Club, CAPE is offering Music Club, Graffiti Art, Digital Media, and Gardening at Ashe. Students can also bring their families to the Community Cooking Club once a month, to learn about inexpensive and healthy food options. Off to a great start!
