Customer Purchase Spotlight - Troll Wig

Sometimes our customers surprise us with some of most interesting ideas.

Last night, a particular customer was looking for the wackiest wig she could find but wasn’t too specific on a look. Perplexed, I asked what it would’ve been for. She said she had not seen her friends since the beginning of the holiday break and that they were all grabbing wigs to have a wig party.

So apparently these friends will get together and perform a White Elephant blind wig exchange, in which a recipient will have to wear the wig with the other recipients that wear the wigs they obtained. Then as a party, they will all go out to dinner all wigged out.

She picked this wig, which means one of her lucky friends will look like Joy from Inside Out.

It seemed like a neat idea to break up that post holiday monotony that takes place right after all the festivities.

Customer Purchase Spotlight - Alien Spawn Mask

Here at Chicago Costume, we know Themed Holiday Parties are a thing but this recent one we heard from a customer was a new one for us.

For a Work Holiday Party, the customer needed to fit the outer space theme though Astronauts were forbidden. With this idea, we combed through the store where the Neon Green Alien Spawn Mask caught his eye. Paired with a long black Sith robe, its ensemble made for an otherworldly spectre.

Customer Purchase Spotlight - Elf Flexi-Ears

One of our customers told us a story about how she has bought a pair of our Elf Flexi-Ears that her granddaughter used to costume as a Hobbit from Lord of the Rings.

To top off the story, the Young Hobbit was invited to Washington D.C. to attend a Halloween Event at the White House, where she got to meet the President. Upon meeting him, he said "nice ears!"
