Marizoloonz Story
Marizoloonz, is a Latina owned small business, My name is Mari and I am 48 years old, single mom to an amazing, Intelligent and tenacious 27 year old daughter who is currently in nursing school working on her 2nd degree. I also have a very handsome and hard working 28 year old son who manages one of the biggest T mobile stores in Wood field Mall. I have been with Chicago Public School for 21 years as a Business Manager. Marizoloonz, was created to financially help my family supplement my mom’s in home nurse, my mom lost her battle to kidney disease a year and half ago in 2018 and was called home, where she will no longer be in pain. I Continued Marizoloonz in honor of my Mother Iris Hernandez, who had a passion for entertaining, decorating, baking and cooking for family and friends. She was a giver a woman literally with a heart of gold, she loved all people in general and Loved spending time with family and friends and always made a party of time spent with them. So in a nut shell “Marizoloonz! was created thru LOVE, Passion to Create beautiful visions and make everyone as happy as it made my Mom when spending time with family and friends. My second inspiration to continue Marizoloonz, is my baby sister , who is an amazing baker and creative cake designer, who puts all the passion and creativity my mom instill in both of us to every cake she bakes and designs to perfection. She has also honored my mom by creating her own baking business @adashofsugar based in Florida. We often collaborate and bring Marizoloonz, Custom decor and balloon creations with her amazing cake designs and fabulous custom sweets, (which she has taught me to perfect when we are not able to collaborating), our goal is to one day merge both business into one, when Marizoloonz relocates to Florida when I retire From CPS in a few Years. Marizoloonz, Creates fun balloon Creations, Party Decor & Custom Party Decorations, Backdrops, Sweets Table Scapes and Prop Rentals. Also Custom Sweets and cakes designed and decorated to theme.
