The crew and I had a good time catering for a Sicilian couple’s 50th Anniversary at the Lassen Steak House. They were several family members from Sicily and Italy. They loved my Sicilian Chicken Saltimbaca, white wine pilaf and Mediterranean salad. But of course the amazing service.
The did it again! Another great job last Sunday at the Lakeside Pavilion by the Garibaldi catering crew. It was a celebration of life for John Sweet, and it was great working with his wife Kathy on the celebration. Family and friends raved about the food and service.
Today, we celebrate the life of Jerry. He was the manager of the Chico Chef store (formerly known as Cash & Carry. It was always nice to talk with him when I came into the store about family, and just life. He was wise, caring and funny…l’ll miss him. My condolences to his family and friends. He was brave while facing death, and even worked until the end. Fair well my brother.

We had a good time serving gumbo at the Juneteenth celebration at DeGarmo park Monday, and was honored to be included in the amazing celebration for Black Americans. Hey, and somehow I got on the front page of the local newspaper! We also loved catering for the Kawasaki Co. and their unvailing of the new Ninja 400 at the Chico Air Museum last Tuesday. They raced at the Thunderhill Raceway and displayed the Ninja motorcycles that have been developed in the last 40 yrs (really cool). Much thanks to the Morrison group for having us cater their company party June 15th. Everyone at each event loved our food and services…thank you servers for you hard work.
So thankful for my family on Fathers Day. I love you all so much.

Here’s some wedding pics from the last two months. Catering is back, and business this year has definitely picked up. The restaurant is also picking up, and we have a following. A lot of people love my Mommas authentic Creole and Cajun recipes. The restaurant just celebrated our 2 yr Anniversary October 7th. It’s hard to believe the catering company has been in business 19 yrs.

We’re back from our Florida trip and enjoyed some fine cuisine. I got a few ideas for my Catering company and the restaurant (Garibaldi’s New Orleans Cuisine). We’ll try them out in the next couple weeks. So come by and check them out.

Because of the Covid-19 and the state of things in our society, I have decided to switch it up. Tomorrow my kitchen will be serving takeout food. Garibaldi's Catering will also be known as "Garibaldi's New Orleans Cuisine" serving traditional New Orleans food, such as Gumbo, Jambalaya, Red beans and Rice, and even Beignets with Chicory Coffee! Glad to be back from our 25th Anniversary vacation in Cambria and Half Moon Bay. In Cambria, we stayed at an Airbnb on Moonstone Beach Dr. next to Moonstone Beach, it was great! Best places to eat were: Madeline's, Black Cat Bistro, The Spot, Linn's Easy As Pie Cafe, Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill, and the Cambria Cafe.
In Half moon Bay we stayed at the Seal Cove Inn which was elegant with nice trails and gardens on the cliffs of Seal Cove Beach. Best places to eat were: Flying Fish Bar & Grill, Mezza Luna Restaurant, and the Old Princeton Landing Public House and Grill. Of course I cooked as well, and shared grilled Flank steak, Ribeye, & Chicken breast with Ian our host in Cambria. He loved that we cooked food for him & his wife. Also, I cooked sauted baby potatoes, prawns and mixed veggies dish as a farewell dinner. Here are some pics.
I want to thank my sister-in-law Becky for making these cool everyday masks for our family, and for my wifes work at the Cancer Center here in town. Becky you’re “Awesome.” She made ones with ties & elastic bands. They even have a pocket to put a coffee filter for extra protection. Becky you are the “best!” Truly made with love.
I wanted to reach out to all my servers. You all are in my thoughts and I hope you all are well & being safe. Please stay in touch though out the pandemic, and know that we will get through this just as other disasters that have affected our country. It will take time, but we are ready to get back to work when time permits. You are all in my prayers and I’m looking forward to working with you all. You’re a great team. There is a possibility that we will serve New Orleans cuisine for pick up & delivery...so stay tuned.

Enjoyed a good Super Bowl BBQ with my family. I served Tri Tip, Chicken Breast, Sausages, Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chili, Baked Beans, Corn Muffins, and a Mixed Green Salad. Hopefully I will see my Raiders in the next Super Bowl.
We had a great time serving these two newlyweds, and their family and friends. Over 300 were in attendance on their property in Corning CA. Everyone loved the service, food and the Mariachi Band. My servers knocked it out the park as usual! Good job guys.
We have catered events from 30 to 600 people. In fact we had fun catering a small "Marvel" Superhero wedding for 40 people. Our motto is "We cater to your taste." Whatever your event might be.The wedding was in Magalia (near Paradise), CA. The quest had a great time!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of catering a wedding in a small town outside Chico Called Cohassette. It was at the brides parents home, and it was a beautiful place to have a wedding. Everyone loved the food and service. My hats off to the "Garibaldi Crew" all seven servers were all over it and the 182 people enjoy everything! 😃

Hey brides! For those of you who are looking for a wedding western theme check out this new venue call "Tuffie town." A little ranch outside Hamilton City on Road U off of Highway 45. We catered a wedding there last Saturday it was a blast!
What a great turn out at the Bridal Show yesterday! Lots of brides sampled our cuisine and were interested in using us next year. Also, we enjoyed catering a wedding at the White Ranch in Chico last week for a wonderful young couple and there great family. Finally, catering for Butte College Skyway Center was our privilege, and we were honored to cater for Paradise Medical (Pediatrics) Group's grand opening.

I had a nice time at the Chico High Senior Spring Concert last Tuesday night. It has been neat to see how much the kids have grown since their freshman year. Last March they went to Ireland and performed, they were outstanding. Good job Chico High Choir! Garibaldi's Catering was honored to be one of the sponsors. I am looking forward to helping out in the Victorian dinner next year.
We enjoyed catering a wedding at the Centerville Estates yesterday. It did get a little sindged from the CAMP fire, but is still a beautiful venue for a wedding. Every body loved the food. Good job servers.
