The Pavilion at Big Papa's Place, LLC The Pavilion at Big Papa's Place is a venue for weddings, family reunions, corporate, church and civic group outings. until 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday only.

The Pavilion is on a 3 acre water-front lot on Hicks Lake in south Washington County Florida. The facility has water, electric, an outside kitchen, a bath-house with a shower, a playground for children, paved walking paths and a paved boat ramp. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and has a perfect view of the sunset over the lake. The lake itself is great for swimming, skiing, tubing, fishing

and other water sports. The Pavilion and grounds are available to rent by the day. A day is defined as a 14 hour period of time from 8:00 a.m. The rate is $600 per day and includes full use of the property and its facilities (Campers are privately owned and are excluded). There will also be a $250 refundable damage and clean-up deposit. This rate also includes a staff person on premises to make sure everything is functional and in good working order.

We lost five oaks off of the property due to hurricane Michael but fortunately they did not fall on any of the structures other than the chain link fence. We repaired about 100 feet of fence and had to replace 50 feet. The only other damage was to the ceiling fans under the pavilion. All eight of them were destroyed so we took them down and will replace them with light fixtures. I have a neighbor filling in the stump holes from the tree removal with his tractor and box blade. Once that is complete everything will be back to normal and we can relax and enjoy the lake once again. I am looking forward to a long enjoyable summer on the water with my children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Thanks to Rodney Parker,Wesley Clark,Amy Mullen Chadwick,Joshua Sibley,Chad Kirkland, Brendi Kirkland,Amber Mullen Forrest,Collin Forrest,Chance Kirkland,Micah Kirkland,Jeff Sheppard,Kayla Sheppard,Debbie Mullen,Jayden Sheppard. We still have a lot to do but this knocked out a big chunk. It should be ready by summer.
