We do individual cinnamon rolls, because sometimes you only need one! Just pour a little milk or cream of choice over and bake - bring to the office and make it in the toaster oven to drive everyone else mad with jealousy, pop one in the air fryer for a quick breakfast, keep a stash in the freezer for easy weekend brunch 💕

Bob Moore, the founder and bearded face of internationally distributed Bob’s Red Mill food products, died Saturday.

He was 94.

Moore launched Bob’s Red Mill in 1978 with the help of his wife, Charlee, after their family embraced a nutritious diet full of whole grains. Spice blends and seasoning mixes often contain gluten and more sodium than most of us would like - making your own is easy! Small mason jars keep spices fresh and organized. A small coffee grinder works great for mixing and crushing your blend into a powder. It’s also a great way to personalize to suit your taste, since you can adjust amounts until they taste perfect for you.

Basic taco spice: onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, black pepper and salt

Pizza blend: garlic, onion, nutritional yeast, black pepper, fennel, basil, oregano and salt - this will make anything taste like pizza and is awesome on fries!

Seasoned salt: garlic, parsley, salt, rosemary, paprika and black pepper

Going gluten free can be overwhelming and more than a little frustrating. I’m always available for tips and tricks!

One of the things I hear most often from people is that their baked goods aren’t turning out right with the cup for cup blends that are supposedly a straight substitute for wheat flour. To be brutally honest - there is no substitute for that texture. Look carefully at ingredients, be mindful of the amount of gums in them.

Give your gluten free flours more time to absorb liquid, and adjust amounts until it’s the texture you’re after.

If your dough or batter looked perfect, but turned out very dry bake for less time. Gluten free flours tend to not brown as well or as quickly, so golden brown can actually mean overcooked and dried out!

It gets easier. We’re rooting for you :)
