Can you guess which one be more stressed? 😰🫠
It doesn’t matter how much I prepare or plan, it’s always gonna be something that just changes my mental on install day lol.
Sometimes it’s as simple as traffic. I’ve had my fair share of times where I got in my car after my install, called my boyfriend and just cried. Now the client will never know and never see this during their services because we professional okay, but it’s happened.
To my artists, remember you are human and it’s okay to make mistakes. We learn from them, adjust and move on. Teach yourself new skills and tricks during slower times and just keep doing your research.
To my clients, remember your balloons artists are human lol. You all get the perfect pictures in front of the perfect balloons, that we put our blood, sweat and tears into. What you see during event day is sometimes only 10-20% of the work that actually went into making everything happen. So if we need to step back to take a quick break or have to make unplanned adjustments, know that it’s for the greater good of your install.
This is not a post to complain, just to shine some light. Take a breath and keep going gurl! 💕🫶🏽💪🏽

Listen 🤣😂 I actually would love to stay for the events after I’m done setting up but the way I be looking afterwards…..baaabyyy! It’s a no 😂 . Hair sticking up from static, hands all ashy, shirt dusty, smelling like latex 😷 . But save me a plate for when I come back for cleanup please 🫶🏽

My loyal clients are spoiled and they already know the vibes when @materialgurl_decor shows up. They also are constantly referring me to generate new clientele for my business. So I have to show my appreciation! . 💕There’s pretty much no such thing as last minute when it comes to them. They know I’ll move mountains to make sure the balloons are at their event, WITHOUT A RUSH FEE! 💕Sometimes I throw in a little extra, benefiting both of us. I get the pictures for content and advertisement, they get free balloons 🤷🏽‍♀️ 💕If the order is small enough, I’ll deliver it for free. Because they could have easily gone to someone else or artypay itycay (lol). 💕 If it’s not a service I offer, I will refer them to a vendor I trust to take care of them just as well as I do. Sometimes I’ll even act as the middle woman between them and the vendor to make sure everything goes smoothly. 💕They have my personal number. This is a big one lol. I try not to give out my personal number to clients because, boundaries lol. But my loyal customers have my personal number and I will answer calls/texts from them outside of my business hours.

Figured I’d put my new mic to use and give yall a behind the scenes on a Monday and a 🩸 day for a female balloon designer. . Mondays be mondaying for me, especially when it’s that time. I just don’t feel like do anything, and just want to relax or lay in bed, but that’s not ideal right now so I make the effort to do what I can.

🚨It’s time to book the balloons Boo! . Booking early is so much better than waiting last minute and here’s why: 💕 More time to pay: when you book early enough, you can spread your payments out to so instead of a deposit then the final payment, you can make a deposit and maybe 2-3 more payments. Also, your significant other would be less suspicious when you’re paying $300 3X instead of $900 all at once 😂 💕 We can take our time and plan: when last minute bookings come through (which we still cherish and take our time for), our creativity is a little limited. When we have time, we can make props, research trends and colors and really deep dive into making sure the vision is there. 💕Less to worry about: when you book your balloons right away, thats one less decor item you have to worry about. Need florals, a cake, or other event items; we have friendors (friend vendors) we can refer you to! . So now that you’re ready to book early.
