LEARN TO MAKE A SHADOW PUPPET with Gabo Dos-Corazones Friday, November 8th at ARCO Cincy.

Following the FREE shadow play "The Green Moon / La Luna Verde" at 6pm, guests will learn how to make and perform with their own paper shadow puppet!

Shadow puppetry is one of the oldest forms of performance art. This type of theatre consists of exposing different types of marionettes or objects to light on a screen. The shadow from the puppet becomes a medium through which we are able to communicate and create stories. We can't wait to create with you!

In honor of November and start of the , MYCincinnati will launch our annual campaign with a Staff Kickoff Concert on November 14th!

Join us at ARCO Cincy (3301 Price Ave) at 6:30pm for a special performance by our amazing Teaching Artist ensemble. The performance will feature a new arrangement by our very own Katie Carson. We’ll have snacks, games, raffles, and of course, live music. All are welcome, so invite your family and friends. It's FREE!

Gabo Dos-Corazones' performance of "The Green Moon" or "La Luna Verde" allows the audience to enjoy the selected poems of Spanish artist Federico García Lorca visually through music, and choreographed vignettes to reflect on beauty, nature, friendship, and life.

This performance is FREE thanks to support from Price Hill Will, ArtsWave, and the Ohio Arts Council. Free parking and refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Tomás loves stories and knows all his Papa Grande’s by heart. As the young son of a migrant farm workers, Tomás has a chance encounter with librarian in Iowa who introduces him to the wonderful world of books. His imagination takes off as he reads book after book and discovers worlds filled with dinosaurs, tigers and explorers. Based on the beloved book, this inspiring true story celebrates reading, imagination and creativity.
