Hi. I’m Kelsey. Owner and operator of CTC Events. 💃

I’ve been in the event and wedding industry for about 15 years. I got my start working for a catering company as their event coordinator, but no job was off the table as I helped them build their brand and grow. I later drifted off onto my own doing small scale events with planning, management, and coordination. During that time, I began decorating cakes with an emphasis on weddings. After the pandemic, I decided to close my cake business and rebrand while getting back to the basics of what I know and love… event planning and production.

As an adult, I’ve always worked a full time job in operational leadership to continue to grow in my professional skills. My current role puts me in the event space full time as I plan events for a non profit organization.

Skills that I bring to the table are being adaptable, hard working, personable, detail oriented, laser focused, and highly motivated. These things along with many other strong personality traits make me an asset to getting the job done for all my clients.

When it comes to an event my goal is to make sure that my clients feel taken care of and know that no matter what happens, the job is not only being done, but also being done at the highest level.

You could choose anyone to be a part of your big day, and I’m thankful to all the clients who have chosen me so far. For future clients… if you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond then I’m your girl!

I’ve built an amazing community of vendors that I lean on along with an experienced team of professionals who help execute our high level events.

Let’s talk about a welcome toast. 🥂

This is a trend that I hope sticks around! There’s nothing I love more than seeing the glowing couple thank their guests for coming and kicking off the evening with a toast.

In the timeline we can do it right before dinner so it gives your guests a chance to see and hear from you before you sneak away for sunset photos… OR…. If you do a first look and we get all your photos done prior to the ceremony we can structure it in during cocktail hour when guests are mingling.

Whichever time you choose to do it, it’ll always make a great impression on your guests. Short and sweet, but heartfelt and meaningful is the way to go!

Now that wedding season is approaching for the 2025 year I think it’s time to reintroduce ourselves.

We are Calm the Chaos Events. We’re a team of power house women led by Kelsey Johnson; owner and operator.

We offer a variety of services that include coordination, partial planning, full-service planning, officiating, signage rentals, decor and more. We service the Nashville area and all surrounding communities, and are now traveling! We are equipped to handle 2 events per day with our current team.

When it comes to getting the job done on event day there is nothing that’s off limits. Our motto is that we do whatever it takes to get the job done while being the calm in the chaos that sometimes comes with events.

No event is too big or too small, we can do it all!

If you’re looking for a hard working, detail oriented group of hustlers for your big day then we should connect!

Why should a coordinator or planner be at the top of your priority list when booking vendors??

-bringing a professional in at the beginning of planning can lessen the mental load and help provide tools and resources to streamline the planning process

- a professional with experience can help keep you on budget, prioritize where your money should go based on your wants and needs, and actually save you money.

- a planner can keep track of your budget, deal with the back office communication with vendors, and insure you’re getting exactly what you want and need out of the vendors you are booking.

There really are so many reasons to bring a professional planner or coordinator in at the beginning rather than the end of your planning process.

So many of my past couples are having babies and it warms my heart to see the announcements, the gender reveals and the maternity shoots! 🥰

It really isn’t just about getting you married. It’s about seeing these couples begin the next phases of life. For some that’s buying homes, becoming doctors, or having babies.

No matter the milestone I love to see my former couples making all their dreams come true!

Our team wrapped up the final wedding of the year yesterday to get The Powells to the finish line. It was the perfect fall day at and was the perfect bride with the biggest smile all day.

These two didn’t need the rain or luck. They’ve got enough love to last a lifetime and it was so obvious watching them together.

Their love for each other shined through every cloud, every rain drop and it never once dulled their brightness.

This week we will be back at the same venue to close out the 2024 season. I love how love brings us back to the same places with different faces. 🤍
