And just like that… the 2024 wedding season comes to a close. 🤍

Our team wrapped up the final wedding of the year yesterday to get The Powells to the finish line. It was the perfect fall day at and was the perfect bride with the biggest smile all day.

We can’t wait to share more highlights from this day and the year in review.

Their love for each other shined through every cloud, every rain drop and it never once dulled their brightness.

There is nothing we love more than seeing two people come together on their wedding day. and were such a treat to work with.

This week we will be back at the same venue to close out the 2024 season. I love how love brings us back to the same places with different faces. 🤍

✨TREND TO TALK ABOUT ✨

Let’s talk trends. It is no secret that social media has completely changed the game for brides who are planning a wedding. To be honest it’s quite exhausting trying to keep up with what is hot and new and what will be “instagram worthy”.

As a planner, who really wants to focus on love and happiness on the day of, I try to help my couples stay grounded in doing things that are timeless, meaningful, and cost effective.

I wish I could take credit for this one, but when told me about a “ring warming” ceremony my eyes leaked a little. 🥹

Prior to placing the rings on each other’s finger, the parents and grandparents of the couple all have a brief moment to pray over the rings and marriage.

Y’all. When I say this was so special. I can’t even begin to express that.

This costs 0$, includes your families, and makes a lasting impact on guests and the couple. This is one that I hope catches the buzz and stands the test of time.

These pictures by capturing this moment are magnificent and I know these parents appreciated having this moment for their kids.

This year my business has tripled and I’ve been blessed to work with so many amazing couples, families and other small businesses.

When I rebranded after Covid I really wasn’t sure how big I wanted to take this and I just decided to let go and see what happened.

I have been blessed to be continuously referred by amazing clients and friends and my business Is flourishing. So much so that I needed some help.

I’m excited to say I’ve been able to bring on an Assistant who will now be working with me on a regular and consistent basis. If you know this girl, then you know how hard working and amazing she already is.

If you don’t, then I’m excited to introduce you to Anna Ginn. I’ve known Anna for about 6 years now and she has worn many hats for me. I trained her in operations at my former job, she’s helped with odds and ends and has always been a hustler. When I look at her, I see 24 year old me and there’s no one else who I would rather have by my side on event day helping me calm the chaos on event days.

Anna has already worked several events with me over the last two years but I’m eager to bring her into the fold in a bigger way and eventually will run point on event day coverage on multiple event weekends. Thank you to all my clients who continue to support me and it’s because of you that I’m able to do this.

So you’ll be seeing this duo a lot more often on your feed. 💃

Yesterday was a whirlwind for these two beauties and it reminded me of the sacrifices that the men and women in our military make every single day.

2 hours before the ceremony half of their guest list and bridal party was called out for an immediate report for deployment and it completely shifted the day.

Several of their friends had to drop what they were doing and head out to base to report for duty not really knowing where they’d be going or any details other than go right now.

On their wedding day these two had to be ok with knowing that 50 people they love and care about could no longer attend their special day but they never skipped a beat.

When I asked if they were ok, they said this is the thrill of it and we knew it was a possibility.

In spite of the chaos it was still a gorgeous day for these two brides and was a reminder to me of how thankful I am for the sacrifices our military make day in and day out so that I can live the life I live.

This is the harsh reality for many people in our community and I’m forever grateful for their service.

Congrats to Katelyn and Mara on tying the knot and being the biggest champions of going with the flow that I’ve ever seen.

Can we talk about florals for a minute!?

Recently the trend has been all white and greens and we do love a timeless look. 👀

BUT….

Let me just tell you what a statement having color in your florals does.

- it brings in pops of color to provide contrast
- can show some flare and personality
- it elevates the look of the dresses
- it is eye catching and draws people in

When this bride said she wanted colorful wildflowers I knew exactly who to call. Thank you to @3.wild_flowers for bringing together the most beautiful color palette for a summer wedding on the River for one of my brides.

Planning weddings for other people is such a special thing, but nothing is more special than seeing your own wedding come to life. 💕 Saying I do to my love was such an incredible experience.
