Hello all!

My brother is home with me! 🙌🏻🥹🤞🏻This last week has been an EXPERIENCE. But we are adjusting and my life right now, isn’t my life. Appts Monday-Friday plus 24:7 care at home. For him alone. BUT I PRAYED and BEGGED for this and said I’d give anything for him to make it and that’s exactly what I’m doing.
Don’t take things for granted.
So if you see me a mess, overwhelmed, distant, possibly teary eyed, mad or just not focused please understand life is real. I decided after the overwhelming amount of things I’m currently going through. We won’t be taking any appointments Atleast until my sisters get to come back in town for support.
We love you guys. And may get brief days in once I know I have some availability but until then, this is for the best. 💞💗
It’s not forever but for just a brief time.

Hello all!!

So a follow up on my brother that was shot.
My brother just got to come home but he is 100% reliant on me for his every need. (Along with my 5 children, one being autistic)
I’m slowly becoming back available as I’m adjusting to this new normal. Multiple appointments a day, kid’s schedule, sports, but I’m trying guys. It hasn’t been but a couple days so as we get into a routine I’m praying it gets easier with time.
I’ll slowly be getting back in contact with everyone as I can, as I honestly don’t have much down time.

Hello all, my name is Chasity, some of y’all may know me (&my husband) as the owners of Ace and Chase Painting and Photography, LLC. I’m here to reach out to our community for assistance, not for ourselves, but for my 21 yr old brother.
Mon Dec. 12th 2022 our family went through a devastating event that will have life long repercussions. My brother jah’Quan, a former Marine, was shot. He unfortunately suffered a GSW to the head, arm and abdomen. Quan did absolutely nothing to deserve this, and literally got out of the military to try and help his family.
we’ve went through numerous of ups and downs along this road, as he is still in the Neuro ICU at Vanderbilt . The blessing is, He is alive and with us, but the unfortunate is that my brothers life is forever changed now. He’s overcame what multiple doctors have told me (it wasn’t going to be a good outcome) and everyday amazes us how strong he is. Even though we are now finally on the right path, the beginning is just now starting. Quan currently has numerous therapies he will need for an undisclosed amount of time. (Speech, PT, OT, feeding, mental etc.) He has/ and will be having to learn everything all over again. We are currently waiting on Rehab to get him in before we can finally bring him home. As of now, we are not sure of what equipment, medical supplies he will need at home as well as his own personal bills that my family has been covering. I honestly didn’t want to do a gofundme bc my brother is NOT a charity case, but I also know he is going to need all the assistance/ support he can possibly have so we can keep up with his personal bills and expenses as well as needs. We are on day 26 in ICU (1/6/23) and counting.. but every Day is a new day!

Update!!

Bare with me y’all as I type this.

Ok, so I’ve been quiet because I’m such a private person with my actual life. And honestly ppl don’t care about what you have going on. Last Monday 12/12/22 my families whole life change and it’ll never be the same again. We had a family tragedy and almost lost 2 of our brothers at the same time. One of my brothers is fighting for his life at Vanderbilt. He suffered a GSW to the head. When I got to Tennova I was told he wouldn’t make it through this. They spent over an hour stabilizing him to life flight to Vanderbilt. I literally beat him to Vanderbilt. Got to Vanderbilt once he was in I was only able to see him for a sec then he was taken for an emergency surgery. He was in surgery almost 8 hours and had to remove a piece of his skull. He MADE IT THROUGH the surgery! Was moved to Trauma ICU. When I was finally able to see him, I was once again told prepare for the worse as the injury and bleeding was not stopping. HE MADE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT! The next morning he was responding to commands on one side (something NONE of the DRs or NURSES thought he would do) Wednesday he was less active and had to go up on his ventilator, Thursday he began having seizures, multiple a day, this continued until Sunday. We finally believe to have them under control and was able to move to neuro ICU ! We are not out of the clear as he still hasn’t woken up like we would want him too, and ventilator may need to be removed by Friday and replaced with a tracheostomy.
My other brother is suffering mental health and also haven’t gotten to see him! All of this at once, with the holidays. I’m just barely holding on. But being strong for my siblings, mom and my kids. I wouldn’t wish none of this on Anyone. I haven’t been able to snap into reality with life bc I just can’t accept this. So while everyone is enjoying their holidays and family. We are trying to understand and adapt to our reality.
I’ve closed my photography business for the time being unless otherwise discussed because even after sharing what I had going on with a few clients and refunding them, ppl are still rude and again don’t care what you have going on. And I don’t profit from photos to be so honest, I do this for my clients. We are slowly trying to find a new normal as we haven’t worked since last Monday bc tbh I can lose it all and be ok as long as my brother lives! I’m not asking for much. Just understanding and prayers.
