A Heartfelt Thank You: While I ceased doing flowers at the end of December, I did want to thank everyone for your support these past 17 years. It's been a great run! I still encounter customers now and again who ask if I'll ever reopen the store. I take those inquiries as positive affrimations of what I was able to create and project at Heights Floral Shoppe/Heights Floral Designs - a celebration of beauty, of visual poetry.

I've had the pleasure of serving some pretty incredible clients through the years (you know who you are) and have thoroughly enjoyed utilizing my flowers as paints to create memorable flower moments in your lives. My art for the most part has always been ephemeral - here today gone in a few days. For me the most memorable parts of life have always been the ephemeral ones - the moments you cannot put on a shelf or hang on a wall. There is magic in ephemerality.

I may pop up here occasionally as I still have some product ideas in mind, but before I sign off I'll share a few of my favorite designs from the past few years.

Wish I was in this pumpkin patch shared by - these pumpkins exhibit so much of the character I love - great texture, shape, & excellent stem length. I have to admit sometimes the stem - if it’s particularly long, curled, & possessed of tendrils - is my favorite part.

At , we couldn’t agree more! So we created Bloom: Flower by Number Kits based on photographs of a few of our one-of-a-kind designs.

Join us to paint Autumn Hues featuring a garden mix of flowering kale, Faith roses, spray roses, orange ilex or winterberry, antique hydrangea, & eucalyptus along with a few feathers arranged in a shallow terra-cotta vessel.
