Hey, it's Robert! (long read, request to share at the end)
Been a rough(ish) few weeks with health and things that tend to happen, but...We're back TONIGHT. Looking at how this past Spring and Summer went, I'm really grateful for the support and patronage GamerHaven has gotten.
The forced pause gave me time to go back and look at what we've done and what my goals for Fall 2024 and beyond, and the rest of our team's goals for GH and their own projects align in an a really natural way that I'm excited to begin rolling out.
Starting TONIGHT, we're shifting our Friday events and broadening who we're telling to come down! It's a full Games Culture experience, with space for the casual and competitive, video games and beyond. Still only $7 for entry, still more for VIPs.
🍜 If you came because the killer NoodlPOP food is there...it's still here! And we're going to be folding more creative and authentic dishes and bevs from Chef Ty, Teque, myself, and more friends!
🥋 If you came because you want to scrimmage Fighting Games like Tekken and Street Fighter...it's still here! Scrimmage with other fans of the game and we'll host more prize tournaments on occasion to raise the stakes.
🎰 And we'll be adding some new game experiences that change week to week! Trivia, Old School Game Tournaments and Leaderboards, Card and Board Games, and more where the winners learn more about each other and the Games we love.
..and on top of everything else, GamerHaven will be expanding our Games Culture footprint soon, in education, media and future events with great partners. Because my family has a nonprofit to support everything you've seen, and maybe havent seen, every GamerHaven project will have proceeds benefitting it. That organization is called RISE Community Advancement, Inc. and I'm really amped to get that rolling (more on that later).
