Made a lil trip over to Como, MS to serve up some BBQ to folks from all across the US that are in town for the Sore Lip’Em All Weekend Getaway! Met some really great folks and enjoyed serving them some GREAT MISSISSIPPI BBQ! Babyback Ribs, Chicken Runnin’ Gear, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Slaw, Squash/Zucchini/Onions, and our Almost Famous Banana Puddin’! Great night with patrons of the Delta Arts Alliance at their ANITA - A Night In The Arts annual fundraiser. A little change in pace from their usual small bite food truck scene they have done in the past. Was a treat to serve alongside Chef Jimmy with Jimmy Sushi - his crawfish sushi was wonderful! Thank you DAA for allowing us the opportunity to serve you!

Congrats to Bella and Jacob and thank you for inviting us to be a part of your special day! We also had to bring some of The MS Delta with us as Peter's Pottery made the Delta girl feel right at home.

Ended National Hospital Week here at home with the healthcare heroes at Bolivar Medical Center. BBQ Nachos or BBQ Fries with our “Almost Famous Nanna Puddin”. Pair that with ice cold drinks from Nehi Bottling Company, and it made for a lunch!

! Early mornings are worth it when you are helping youth! Cooked 200 half chickens for the FUMC Youth Group today, along with baked beans and slaw for their summer trip fundraiser. Great time at our home church…Another chapter of complete!

Great night last night meeting new people as we fed the Mississippi College Lady Choctaws Softball team! They were in Cleveland playing DSU, and their pitcher, Madison Jenkins’s family wanted to show true Delta hospitality and fill ‘em up Delta Style…So we laid it out…Babyback Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Fried Catfish (Catfish Cabin), Baked Beans, Potato Salad, White Cheddar Mac & Cheese, Slaw, and Nanna Puddin’! Thanks to the Jenkins family for inviting us to feed this GREAT group of girls and their families!

Cleaning Pit

Don’t believe the old saying about a bbq pit has to have all kinds of buildup and “seasoning” on it to produce great bbq. Nothing could be farther from the truth! A good clean pit with proper fire 🔥 and smoke 💨 management and time tested recipes is what produces great bbq! A dirty “seasoned” pit produces bacteria and can make you sick. L👀k in the comments to see the finished racks in this pit. All 3 of ours were cleaned yesterday and today and are done on regular basis after use.
