Does anyone have a use for these balloon garlands? They are beautiful! Some balloons have lost their air but they are over all in great shape. FREE! Located in Climax Springs and would need to be picked up by Tuesday. Lots of balloons! 😜

The forecast is improving! Woohoo! We hope to see everyone TOMORROW for the 2024 Loyalty Day Festivities! The parade lineup will begin at approximately 10:30. Please line up from the east end of the gravel (NN) pointing towards the cafe. The parade will travel from the VFW to Wilkerson’s Gravel then turn around and travel to NN where it will then return to the VFW.
Don’t forget to have breakfast at the Civic Center between 8-10 (downstairs) and then come back after the parade to browse the flea market and craft show upstairs from 8-2!

Loyalty Day 2024 is just a few days away. We are thrilled to announce that Climax Springs hometown star, Presley Puig, will preform the singing of our National Anthem. Also, our sweet little miracle, Miss Lovely Henderson and Family, will lead the parade as our Grand Marshals.

Just a few pictures from tonight’s community dance. This event was sponsored by D&B Docks Inc.. We truly can’t thank them enough for their generosity and support.
We raised over $1600 which is more than we currently have in the bank! A generous donor matched that amount this evening and we were blown away.
Backtracks was absolutely incredible!

Also-set ups, jambalaya and popcorn will be available in the concession stand. And we will be hosting a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Civic Center.

So as of today, Feb 2nd, we only have 5 entries in the First Annual Cajun Cook-off scheduled for February 10, 2024. Regretfully, if we don’t secure 5 additional entries, we will have to postpone this event. So, if you’ve been on the fence now is the time to jump 🙂

Last week we shared some upcoming events. Sadly, we only have THREE entries for the Cajun COOK OFF 😣. Don’t be shy, Chef’s! Show us your skills. The proceeds for this event will help us reach our goal of installing a shower in the lower level. Doing so will have us one step closer to being an official “emergency shelter”.

We are so excited to announce some upcoming fundraising events! We know everyone is looking for an opportunity to get out and socialize. 😜
Firstly, on February 10th 2024 we will host our First Annual Mardi Gras Cajun Cookoff! Now is the time to show your culinary skills! We will have two categories-main dish and dessert. If you are interested in participating please let me know.
Also, Saturday February 24th 2024 we will make our second attempt at bringing back the community dances. D&B Docks Inc. has graciously commissioned the very talented Kennie Dee and Poncho (Backtracks)
We hope you will come support both events for the benefit of the Civic Center. We have a BIG GOAL we are hoping to achieve that will potentially benefit so many people. Please follow our page for further details and updates :)

The extended forecast is an ugly one. As usual, our building can be opened for anyone in the area needing shelter. We don’t have beds or shower facilities, but we have heat, plenty of floor space and a kitchen. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Please contact me through messenger or at 573-480-5043 if you have a need. Be safe everyone.

We are feeling so, so grateful today. Recently, Rich and Wakita Yount rented our facility. Rich messaged me during his event and said “I noticed you don’t have any security cameras. We’d like to help with that.” Well TODAY a full surveillance system was installed courtesy of the Younts and their business, PSC Computers Missouri. I am blown away! No more inventory walking away, vandals will now be easily recognized,recorded and reported. We can check the status of the building at any time. This is such a huge blessing to us. We can’t thank them enough. Support this business y’all because they support small towns like ours.

We are excited to share that Not Just Any Place Café Will be on site Saturday to offer breakfast, lunch and drink options to our vendors and shoppers! You can find them at the civic center from 9-3 and then up town after the parade near the fire station. I cannot wait to try them as I’ve heard nothing but great things!
