I created Chuck's BBQ in 1999 to bring mid-western style barbecue to Central California. Growing up in Kansas City, one of the barbecue capitals of the nation, I missed the smoky flavor of barbecued meats. This inspired my mission to bring the ultimate barbecue experience to the Central Valley by creating barbecue food that is rich in flavor, tender, and juicy, leaving the pink smoke ring seen in

smoked meats. Some people mistake the pink for being undercooked but in fact, all meats are slow smoked for hours with fruit wood to provide you with succulent tasting barbecue food. The key to getting the meats tender and flavorful is the indirect heat used when smoking. This method allows the meats to absorb the smoke giving it a distinctive but not overpowering flavor. NO GRILLING HERE! The meat's flavor stands on it's own that many customers prefer not to cover the taste with BBQ sauce; but it's just as delicious with the sauce on!

A great friend of mine had second hand embarrassment for my horrible sign and picture posted 😂 So here is a better, clearer poster of this week’s closure. It is that time of year for us again that we have taken on a large catering event for this weekend amongst other catering events we have already committed to. We will be feeding over 7,000 people this weekend. With that being said, we have to close our doors for the week to prepare. We are open today until 4 PM and closing the rest of the week. I’m sorry to do this to y’all. But make sure to screenshot this to get 40% off your orders for next week. Thank you for understanding

I hate to bring this up, AGAIN! Our catering and restaurant equipment was stolen out of our storage last night. WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO END THIS?!? 😣 it is so discouraging these IDIOT LOW LIFE NO GOOD people have nothing better to do but to ruin other people’s hard work and dedication.
Anyway, I won’t continue to rant, but here are some visuals. If any of you out there are able to recognize the cars or the person. It was a group of three guys. Clovis PD has already made the report and is looking into intersection cameras as well. We are still open for business because I refuse to let these A-holes win!

Well folks, Fresno’s finest at it again. Unfortunately with this setback, we will have to close for the day. We will remain open normal hours tomorrow. I don’t have much other words other than, I’m exhausted. I feel exhausted and defeated right now. Even with an upgraded security system and protective measures, they’ll still find a way. I have a lot of choice words for all these lowlifes. But I’ll leave it up to the man above to take care of it. Sorry to shut down today everyone 😞 see you tomorrow.

It’s times like these that really discourage you when it comes to being a business owner. You put your blood, sweat, tears and money into it. It is your livelihood, and it is like watching someone come and take it all away from you. Luckily, the inside of the building was intact. They were so young and dumb. Some cash, broken window and a stolen catering vehicle. The truck has been recovered, and I am currently in contact with Clovis and Fresno PD. In the meantime, we are not going to allow losers like this to get in the way of everything we have accomplished. We are still going to remain open, but please be patient with us as our day has started later than usual. We ask that you help support us by visiting our restaurant. Coming by for lunch or dinner can help us take care of the repairs to the building and damage to the truck.

Unfortunately, the worst has happened this morning. Our restaurant was broken into with cash stolen, and our Catering truck stolen. Neighbors also with smashed doors. The car drove into the building on our neighbors side as well. Luckily, these idiots were dumb enough to not wear gloves during the process and cops will hopefully find the low life losers.

As mentioned on previous post, we will be open this Sunday for our annual backpack drive. It is also a special Sunday since we will be celebrating the life of Chuck. Limited menu available. There will be discounted special pricing also. So come for great food, awesome cars and a good time. Bring anything small or big for the kids and receive a free drink with your order. Hello Chucks & Chuckettes. First, I’d like to thank everyone who has reached out to share their condolences. As you can imagine, it’s been a rough couple of weeks & will be a long recovery, but your kind words and gestures help tremendously 🙏🏼 Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This weeks hours are going to be slightly different. Friday, we will be closed for my dad’s Celebration of Life. We will remain back open Saturday AND be open on Sunday night in collab with for annual backpack drive (limited menu available). Also, to honor Chuck himself 🙏🏼 Don’t forget to bring some goodies for the kids. Feel free to message me for any info & keep an eye out for posts.

Friends and family: it breaks my heart to announce the passing of such an amazing, funny and vibrant man. My dad was truly loved by everyone. He did anything & everything to make this restaurant happen for us & all I can do now is continue his legacy and passion for smoking some damn good BBQ food 🥹 I have him to thank for making me the person I am today.
