Requiesce in pace.
Eternal rest grant unto Sarah Grant, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
"Sarah, destined to be a beloved daughter, wife and mother, came into this world on 4 March 1986. Born to Anthony and Jana Heinan, she was raised in Southern California with her three siblings. On 5 February 2005, she was married to her husband Ryan, and shortly after moved to northern Idaho. In time they were blessed with nine beautiful children, whom she loved very dearly, while making their way through a wonderful 18 year marriage, tragically cut short.
Sarah was baptized in the Catholic Church, and religion was always the anchor of her life. She had tested a vocation to religious life, but in the end married her husband Ryan, who was a traditional Catholic. This brought the depths of the tradition to deepen and strengthen her faith, and guided them both to become parishioners of St. Joan of Arc parish in North Idaho for the majority of her married life.
She is survived by her devoted husband Ryan, for whom she squared the circle of his difficult life, and like she did with everyone and everything she knew, made him a better man. Also by eight of her nine baptized children, Theodore, Peter, Felicity, Philomena, Tobias, Phoebe, Alphonsus, and Beatrix. Also by her loving siblings, Audrey and Andrew, and above all her devoted parents, who instilled in her a love of nature, hard work, homesteading, steely resolve, compassion and virtue. She went to the merciful arms of Jesus in the afternoon of 12 March, the third Sunday of Lent, and there joined her long missed daughter Emma (+2019), and her beloved brother Leo (+2018).
Sarah’s life of sacrifice and devotion led her to meet her death without fear. She was resigned to it and accepted it a few months before, and offered all of her suffering for her family, friends, and any offered to her prayers, receiving the last rites of the Church and breathing her last as prayers were ended."
