In my opinion, the easiest dessert to make is Crème Brûlée!
Definitely a staple in France but in many restaurants in the USA too. It’s easy, delicious and beautiful for any diner party :)
Here is my quick recipe:
-6 egg yolks
-100g sugar (about 3.5oz)
-500ml heavy cream (about 2 cups)
- vanilla bean
Mix all ingredients. Add to individual dish. Bake au Bain Marie (water bath) in oven for 40/50mn at 320F.
Couple hours minimum in fridge. When ready to serve, add brown sugar to top and use a torch to caramelize or broil few minutes in oven. Voilà!
