Philodendron Birkin and Brasil

These houseplants likes medium to low light, but are happiest in bright indirect light. That means a few feet away from a bright window, filtered by thin curtains or blinds. Do not expose to direct sun light or the leaves may "burn."

Allow the top 2-3 inches of soil to dry out between watering your Philodendron Brasil houseplant and then water well.

White Anthurium

Place anthurium in a warm, brightly lit room, but out of direct light.
Allow the soil to dry out between waterings.
Feed weekly during the growing season with a diluted liquid houseplant fertilizer.

Pachira Money Tree

Place in bright, indirect light away from vents and drafty areas. Water thoroughly, but allow the soil to dry down between waterings. Feed regularly during the spring and summer months. Prune as needed or keep it shaped.

How to Grow Homalomena

Akin to one of their relatives, the Philodendron, Homalomena plants are tropic-loving plants that require an optimal temperature of between 60 and 90 degrees or as low as 40 degrees F. Homalomena do well in medium to low light exposures, but truly thrive in medium light conditions. They do not like to be dry, nor do they like to be sitting in water. Saturate the soil and be sure to provide good drainage. Fertilize regularly with a liquid plant food used at the strength recommended by the manufacturer. Soil for Homalomena houseplants should be semi-porous, peat based (but not too dense).

Our plant of the week is the Ficus Lyrata - Fiddleleaf Fig! We have 3 different sizes 6” for $17, 8” for $40 and 10” for $75 but are now all 25% off! They enjoy bright but indirect light away from drafts, and should be watered regularly but not over-watered, ensuring the soli remains just moist. They can be fed liquid fertilizer once a month and yellowing leaves should be removed as needed. Turn that empty spot in your home or office green with one of these beauties today!
