👋 Hi! Sitting in my car outside Trader Joe’s like a weirdooo and thought now is a good time to show my own face on instagram. 😂 So heyyyy, it’s Lizzie, the gal you’ll see at your your wedding possibly in the same overalls (big fan) and smiling looking for the Bride!

A few facts about your Videographer:

1. My first name is actually Sarah, Lizzie is my middle name. Half the people I know call me Lizzie, half call me Sarah. HAH

2. I once got rescued from a 14er by a black hawk helicopter and always love to tell this story.

3. I just got married last August (2022) to my best friend, Matt. ✨ In this, I acquired a dog named Jax.

4. I am from Kansas City, but have been in Colorado for 7 years. KC’s people, jazz and sunsets have a soft spot in my lil heart.

5. I love Jesus and learning to live according to his ways. I don’t expect all of you guys to share this way of living but know I am here as a resource if you do!

Alright, better go do some grocery shopping. ✌️

We are just never done becoming who we are created to be, not in a tiresome way, but God is always putting extra beautiful touches and chipping off our yuck until we meet him face to face.

✨ Be a blessing!

Picking the people who surround us is important. What do they bring to the table? Honesty, kindness, hostility, chaos? I think we can all bring a little of everything, sometimes (Haha). But most of the time we want to become like, be around, and even make better our friends, leaders, family, mentors - that's why we still know them.

1️⃣ One of the reasons Lizzie Studios is out in the world is to bring more blessings to your table, in the form of tangible creative things aka wedding films/photos/design...

BUT also intangibles like reading the room to see that your grandma looks like she actually doesn't want to be on camera to cleaning up champagne, because well - it's messy 🍾.

What's the fun in creating good content if the process didn't bless you? (Or even me!?)

Hope > hustle.
In forming Lizzie Studios I spent time thinking about what I wanted it to be about. There’s this huge “hustle” mindset sneaking into every podcast and blog I hear surrounding careers/freelance/life. Just do more - do more - do more and then you’ll be more - make more - live more.

Hustle implies a continuous movement day in and day out without a stopping point. This makes skipping dinner, hikes, & hangs much harder to make time for cuz you know, you gotta hustle.

UNLESS something comes before the hustle. For Lizzie Studios, that’s Hope.

Hope tells me to:
1. Look past the current task or project
2. Look up at the people around me - talk to them.
3. Thank God for _______
4. THEN make wise decisions on making dinner, going on hikes & hanging.

I need this reminder ALL the time. It’s so easy to spend days working hard on the wrong things!
