In this first picture, you will see what is called "the scar" on the mountain in Colorado Springs. Started over a hundred years ago, it was a limestone mine. When we moved here over a year ago, I didn't think much of it. But over the course of the year, especially this summer, my family traveled all over Colorado and grew to love the scenery.

When we came home, I looked at the mountain and it really did look like a big scar and I started to feel sad that a part of the mountain was now bleak. It just so happens that this summer, they started a project to heal the scar. You can see some of the progress on the scar!

It reminds me of Beauty and Beast's story. For one reason or another, beast had become selfish, unkind, and ill tempered. Because of the enchantress, he first looked as ugly on the outside as he was on the inside. Yet, over time, he was able to overcome those ugly tendencies: eventually returning to his former "handsome" prince self on the outside.

Like Beast and like the scar on the mountian, we too can change or grow! There is always hope to do better!🥰

!! IMPORTANT!! As you watch the WORLD NEWS, please keep the military families in your thoughts and prayers. As a mom of 6 military kids, I want teachers, principals, counselors, school staff, and families everywhere to please be aware of WHO your military students or neighbors are! Not all military kids live on installations and many are often overlooked. Active duty, National Guard, Reserves, and so many more out there need YOUR support! April is the Month of the Military Child and I was going to save this video for then, but so much is happening in the world. They have tools to help YOU help our military kids. And remember, purple is the month of the military child! Is your school or neighborhood ready to wear purple for them?!! Little Lu's Princesses is looking for ladies 16 years and older who are amazing with children and reliable for Saturdays, some Fridays, and occassionally weeknights! Experience in performing, singing, and make up is not required, but very desirable. Training will be provided. Princess Performers for Little Lu's Princesses

I need your help! I am looking for a couple princess performers to join Little Lu's Princesses! The most desirable qualities are 1. Amazing with children and 2. Reliable (every Saturday, some Friday nights and occassionally a week night). But, performance experience, singing, and make up skills are very desirable and will be trained!
