The Tale as old as time when it comes to horses… is that the outside of the horse is transformative for the inside of a human. It’s plain as day that Scooby is healing the inside of Mandy in more ways that could ever be listed.
Every year I do a couple sessions for free. I always try to find moments or clients for this that set my soul on fire- people who deserve their life moments to be documented the most- people who are so humble, yet kind & caring- people who put everyone before themselves … when I heard Mandy’s story… there was no doubt in my mind- she was receiving my free session for 2025 if she wanted it!! At 21, Mandy was drugged by her date then left to die. She was struck by a train severing her limbs from her body. She is the epitome of overcoming life circumstances and resiliency! She’s a 7 time world record holder, public speaker, has crawled so many mountains & just recently purchased Scooby & cares for him on her own! As someone who has cared for and trained horses for many years, I feel so drawn to her story! I know the effort and hard work it takes to care for horses… I’m absolutely blown away by her grit and refusal to quit when everything around her screams you can’t, shouldn’t or don’t need to!
Here’s to YOU Mandy! You’re such an inspiration & you deserve every bit of happiness and love that Scooby holds in his heart for you! You are an unstoppable force & I’m beyond thankful for the tiny little part I get to play in your story by capturing the moments shared with your horse! 🤍🤍 Go off babygirl, keep showing up & showing the world just how special you are!

Last year when Taylor and I chatted about what her dream wedding would be, she was VERY confident that she wanted to” Twilight” vibes- moody, emotional…. With her “Edward”.
Life happened and her wedding needed to be canceled, but they planned this insanely stunning, intimate elopement- and man, Telluride SHOWED UP! The most beautiful, misty lake I’ve ever seen, with the kindest souls! Congratulations on a life time of love and laughter, you too! 🥂
