What’s your record of restoration and reconciliation? We are taught in the Word that the person who has learned to show the way of reconciliation and restoration to God through Christ is wise. What’s your spiritual body count? How many people have been restored because of your testimony used as your confession to the power that Jesus saves? We confuse how many people we’ve invited to the church building or how many people we’ve bludgeoned with our misunderstanding of the Word with how many people have been positioned to be restored to the Body of Christ because of our ability to be a witness. We think it’s what we say. It’s not. It’s fully how we live and our self awareness, which should be a constant reminder to be merciful. Are we living a life of being a witness? I’m not a witness because of my goodness or good standing because truly without Him I would be drifting like a ship without a sail. I am a witness because of the depths of God’s grace toward me. He came for me when I didn’t deserve His pursuit. I can tell you how far God came for me and let you know that if He came to the depths of sin where I was sinking to get me He’s able to restore you. No matter what you’ve done. No matter the state you find yourself in. He is gracious and just. I didn’t deserve His grace and yet He sent grace after me. So because of God’s grace toward me my heart’s desire is to share my experience with anyone. It’s why I don’t look at what you’ve done or what you’re doing to determine if i should tell you about what I did or what i still do and yet God’s plan for me is reconciliation. I am compelled to be a witness of God’s grace because I am a sinner saved by God’s grace. I am not seeking to measure or recognize the sin in you. Not my job. Not my business. No. I acknowledge the faults in me and I want to show you how you were chosen before the foundation of the world even when you don’t feel like you were. You have purpose in the Kingdom of God even if you don’t believe you do.

God’s been chasing after you and perhaps you’ve not recognized His pursuit because you thought you were not worthy of Him pursuing you or you’ve done too much for too long and you need to clean yourself up and get right first. Sometimes we preoccupy ourselves with those thoughts that there’s something we can “do” to get saved when all the while it is God’s grace that continues to beckon for us. As a person who still sometimes thinks that way let me let you know that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Are you seeking direction? Jesus is the way. Message me for prayer. I’ll walk with you on our journey to be witnesses for God.

God wants to do a new thing in your life. Stop resisting. In Acts 9:5 God asks a guy named Saul why he insisted on “kicking against the pricks” which essentially means why are you resisting? Let’s be frank, Saul thought he was right. No, Saul knew he was right and he had the good well meaning church folk of that time on his side to prove he was right. He was armed with arrest warrants from those good well meaning politically driven church folks for the destruction of people who chose to believe “The Way.”

God blinded Saul during that encounter on his way to Damascus to transform him into Paul, someone who could “see” and “hear.” Up until that encounter Paul had been the product of committed study the the letter of the law and strict enforcement of it. He hadn’t been yet persuaded by the power of the blood of the Lamb. He hadn’t yet been constrained by the great gospel that Jesus saves.

I submit that too many are blinded by television, social media, 24 hour news feeds, and propaganda and that’s not the Word of God. As a result our ability to “see” God for who He is and to hear and obey His Word is distorted. It’s time for a life altering encounter with God. Stop resisting Him by taking in what society wants to feed you. Stop doing what you’ve always done because you’ve always done it that way. Examine your life against the only standard that matters…Jesus Christ. Don’t persecute Him; follow Him.

I tell people all the time, I haven’t watched the news voluntarily since 2020. As a matter of fact I remember the night when I chose to stop watching it. I was up all night unable to sleep soaking up news from a 24 hour station. My mind wanted to rest and my body was begging for sleep but I kept watching until I distinctly heard God say, “Turn off the television. Stop filling your mind with this. It is not of Me. Pray.” I turned off the television and began to cry out to God. As I cried out He gave me peace. Peace that made no since in that moment given the state of the world and our country. I prayed until I fell asleep. When I awoke the next day I was determined to empty my mind of politics, pundants, spin specialists, and bad, sad, depressing, distressing, distracting news. I am a witness that our minds become resistant to the Word as we lean into the news of the world. It’s not Godly. At first I couldn’t imagine how I could stay informed without watching the news? How could I not watch it. But over time I’ve learned that God replaced my need for the daily dose of biased garbage with a thirst for studying the Word. All the news I need is in the Word. I call it the GNN (God News Network). I stopped resisting God. It’s so hard to hear God with all of the noise going on in the world today.

Many years ago, a friend took me on a hike up a mountain. Once we got to a plateau he said, “ What do you hear?” I listened for a moment. I looked around at the most beautiful view I’d seen of a vast sea of God’s creation for miles and miles. I turned to him and answered with glee, “I hear nothing!” That moment helped me comprehend that we are inundated with continual noise that drowns out our ability to be at peace and to hear clearly from God in our hearts. As a result we resist God. We resist His will. We cannot see or hear His way clearly. There’s a mixed signal. We equate and relate the God who created everything with ourselves. We expect Him to fit compactly into our viewpoint and we diminish His greatness into our values. We reduce Him to a Sunday morning sound bite with which we can persecute Him and each other. All the while He is waiting for us to stop resisting Him. We insult the magnitude of God by compartmentalizing Him and tagging Him to what we earnestly believe is right and righteousness not seeing that our version of right is self centered, self willed, self driven, self taught, selfish, and excludes giving others the very grace and mercy we arrogantly expect from God each day. We don’t study to learn who He really is. Like Saul we’ve got folks warrants in hand and we’re on our way to serve up justice in the name of the lord-or in the name of the fake news that has lorded over us. For the few folks who choose to read this I implore you to embrace your transformative encounter with God. He’s doing a new thing in you. Separate your relationship with Him from worldly suggestion. Seeing Him means becoming blind to noisy distractions.

“As you are going through everyone is being tested, not just you.” Bishop Noel Jones.
Meaning, when our brother and sister (Mother, Father, Son, Daughter or Neighbor) we have a part of the test too. Will we actually go to God in prayer on their behalf or just say “I’m praying for you”? Will we speak to them with loving words that give life or will we unleash harsh harming words that damage their confidence? Will we walk with them as they go through? Will we be patient? Will we be kind? Will we comfort them? Will we pay a bill for them when they can’t? Will we continue calling, texting and bringing food when everyone else has stopped? Will we show up even when we have no words to say? Will we humble our frustrations, anger, judgement, and ego to help pick them up and build them up? Your test is also my test. Will I hug you in front of others and put on a show but ignore you otherwise? Our grade on the test is based upon the instructions Jesus left us in John 13:34-35

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Love carries a lot of weight. Love covers a lot of mistakes. Love loves for others not for self boasting or aggrandizement. If you must tell someone about the “good” you think did and you never reveal the “bad” you actually did, you’re not passing the test. Love loves and moves on. It doesn’t wait for acknowledgement, reward or honor. No “thank you” is required.

Your test is my test. We are tested each day. And as Elder La Toya Stevens so eloquently told us this past Sunday, I may fail the assignment but God still makes a way for me to pass the test. I am determined to learn and grow so I can pass the test with you.

Best quote I’ve heard so far this week: “We all have needs. It’s best to build relationships with others before a need arises rather than to try to build a relationship because you’re in need. It’s like trying to build a house during a hurricane.”
I’ve said it this way, too often we make withdrawals where we’ve made no deposits and that math doesn’t math. That’s bankruptcy. And here’s a spoiler, the assessment of the deposits isn’t based upon the person with the need because that person will always see themselves as having been the benevolent one and not the taker. The person we need something from is the person who gets to say if we’ve made deposits at all and if those deposits were adequate to cover their requests. Is it fair? 🤷🏽‍♀️. It is what it is. But I will give this scripture which by the way you is a continual effort… give (continually and always present tense) and it shall be given unto you good measure pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give into your bosom. Sounds to me like if we give we never have to worry about our needs being fulfilled because God will send people to us who will allow us to overflow. Experiencing a deficit? Check your definition of giving. Not what you think personally but the actual objective evidence because the Word of God is yes and Amen. And here’s another nugget, you can’t gain what you need off of someone else’s giving. Meaning some of us will say, “So-in-so represents me and they gave so by proxy I gave so I should benefit.” No. You didn’t give. So in so gave. Meaning men will give to So in so good measure pressed down shaken together and running over not to you. Don’t be mad when you see So in so prospering. Why be mad at them when you can follow the principles of God and get what God has for you? There is no lack in God’s plan. Real relationships produce (period). Real relationships are reciprocal. Real relationships don’t wait to the last minute because that’s disrespectful. Real relationships don’t demand. Real relationships don’t hold you hostage. Let’s build real relationships before our needs show up so that our relationships will show up for us when we’re in need.

Rahab’s Faith: A Testament to God's Grace

Rahab’s faith saved her family and stands as a powerful reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Despite her past, Rahab’s belief and actions changed the course of her life. As Hebrews 11:31 says, "By faith the pr******te Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed."

Rahab's story is a testament to the transformative power of faith and grace. It teaches us that regardless of our past or circumstances, God's grace is always available to those who believe and act in faith.

✨ Let Rahab's story inspire you to embrace faith and trust in God's unwavering grace. Remember, redemption and new beginnings are always possible with God. ✨

I am grateful for the yesterdays that I didn’t understand when they were my now. Because this now needs those hard learned lessons and experiences that those yesterdays provided. I wouldn’t have today’s opportunities if it wasn’t for yesterday’s preparation and challenges. The faith I enjoy and deploy today is because of the steadfast hope I had in my yesterdays, which was always increased by the many times of God manifesting Himself by showing up and showing out. I sincerely apologize for my resistance and my pride and the time it took to grasp yesterday’s knowledge. I hope as my todays turn into more yesterdays that I get better and faster at gleaning usable information from each today. I hope I learn to slow down and enjoy my time with Jesus. They say everyday with Him is sweeter than the day before.

It’s important that we understand and accept that we need and depend on each other. Cultivating, protecting, nurturing and repairing relationships is critical. Just when I feel I don’t need you is when I learn how much I do. When I was young I was so quick at writing people off and cancelling them out of my life. Looking back I can see the lack of wisdom in that. We never know who we will need nor when we might need them. And truly life is too short. Now I see people my age still writing folks off and cancelling relationships, holding grudges, refusing to talk to people. It saddens me deeply. What saddens me more is to hear people explaining their reasons for not communicating with others, being present for others and engaging in reciprocal relationships with others. A reason is an excuse and an excuse doesn’t make the thing not be. Just because I perceive my reasons for my behavior to be justified doesn’t mean they are nor that I’m right; particularly when the goal of unity isn’t achieved. It boggles my mind to hear people talk about lack of unity thinking that it’s the responsibility of others to someone get into unison with them and not comprehending that they are the disjointed ones. Unity starts with me. I have to fall in line and get in order. I have no control over anyone else. Once I’m in line there unity for me, and the world doesn’t look so out of order anymore.

I believe God is calling me to wipe out debts. Financially, emotionally, hurt debts, pain debts, accidental or intentional debts. Just debts. I forgive. It is forgiven.

Pray for someone today and then tell them you’ve prayed for them. Jesus told Peter in Luke 22:31-32 AMP

31 “Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! Satan has demanded permission to sift [all of] you like grain; 32 but I have prayed [especially] for you [Peter], that your faith [and confidence in Me] may not fail; and you, once you have turned back again [to Me], strengthen and support your brothers [in the faith].”

My grandfather used to say, “People will never know you have love for them if you never get it to them.”

Part of loving people sincerely and deeply is praying to God for them and while it’s not always necessary to always let them know sometimes they “need” to hear it. When we’re telling the truth about calling people’s names out to the Father it can be encouraging and life affirming for them to know and hear that you’re thinking about them and that they are so important that you go to the Father about them.

Bishop Lester Woods Jr. says, “It’s hard to hate on someone if you’re praying for them.”

In this current atmosphere of political polarization and folks unfriending folks they know on the behalf of someone they’ve never met and who doesn’t know them and could care less about them, it’s important to intentionally take the time to pray for others and then tell them you’ve prayed for them. It calms the situation and ushers in peace and reasonable thinking.

I have strategic prayer lists. I take these lists to the Father and I pray for you. I call you by name. Whether we are friends, friendly or not I purposely pray for you. I intentionally call as many names as I can remember paying special attention to those God brings to my mind and my heart and from time to time I will let you know that I’m praying for you. I do this following Christ’s example. I do this to share with you that you are valuable, loved, and precious. I want you to win. I want God to bless you.

Pay it forward today and pray for someone and then text them and tell them “I prayed for you.”

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You today for the children of the saints of God; everyone of them, wherever they are and whoever they are. I thank You for Your continual protection of them and that You keep them from dangers seen and unseen. Lord I thank You for leading them and for being a light unto their pathways and a lamp unto their feet. Thank You for revealing Yourself to them as the Great I Am so that they learn to worship You and to deepen their relationship with You responding to Your call on their lives. I thank God that our children are submitted to You and determined to pray. Lord I am grateful for You holding our children in Your hand so that no one can pluck them out. They belong to You. I thank You that our children are prayer warriors unbothered and unafraid. I thank You for raising up this Joshua’s generation prepared to fight through intercession praying for each other and for our country. I thank You that our children are free and loosed to pray at school, at home, in the car, in the store, on the job or wherever they find themselves. Lord through Your power I stand against the lies of the enemy falsely saying there is no prayer in schools. The enemy is the father of lies and the master manipulator through distraction and I ask You Father to open the eyes of this generation and remind them that You sit on the seat of their heart so they can always pray and not faint. They can and will pray at school. You are in all schools because You are omnipotent and this generation carries You into school everyday and they call on You at school all day long. Father please it on the hearts of this generation to turn to You in surrender seeking You and submitting to You wherever they are. Father raise the next generation of intercessors, prophets, preachers, world changers and God seekers. I thank You God that this generation is submitted to the dunamis power of the Holy Ghost with a burden to seek You first. God I thank You that You always leave Yourself a witness. Please open the minds and hearts of this generation so that they are witnesses of the real love of God sharing the gospel that You save. I thank You that our children are not tricked, distracted, nor turned away by new age spirituality, but that they seek You and the power of Your might. Father I honor You that You empower this generation with the strong voice to call on You, trust in You and lean not to their own understanding but allow them to acknowledge You only in all their ways. Thank You Jesus for pulling our children to You and breaking idol worship off of them. Father I decree and declare that this generation are worshippers seeking to behold Your beauty and to experience Your anointing. Please fall fresh on them. I thank You for raising evangelists and those with the zeal and fire and burden to share You. I give You all thanks and through prayer and supplication I am making my requests know to You. I know You are able. I trust You will do all You have promised. I know that You will do all that is in our best interest because it is Your good pleasure as Abba to do so. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
