Happy Friday the 13th!!
As we get closer to Halloween, we are starting to see traffic pick up outside, especially over the weekend. As a heads up, the forecast is calling for rain tonight and through a good chunk of tomorrow. Most animatronics will either be lying down/covered or moved inside completely and depending on the amount of rain, the lights may also be shut off. If you are planning a visit soon, I would recommend waiting until Sunday or even next weekend.
In the meantime, you can enjoy this video of our spell casting witch hologram! 🔮
If you haven’t stopped by in the last couple of days, I added the “Predator of the Night” to the crew on Saturday. He’s super cool, so be sure to stop by and check him out sometime soon! 🦇
Here’s a little closer look at some of the items in the graveyard. I’m starting to add some of the little details as well as introducing a few characters who will only be making special appearances when the weather is nice. More to come this weekend — I think you’ll see the last of my new giants! 🧙🏻♀️🦇
I’ve got some fun new tricks in the works that I can’t wait to get fully up and running for y’all. Enjoy this sneak peek!
This seems like as good a time as any to say that we’ll be participating in Skeletons for St. Jude again this year. You can visit my site via the comments on this post until I get my sign updated with the new QR code. Let’s see if we can top last year!
A little preview…. Bored on a Sunday means I’m checking a new prop to make sure I have all the parts and nothing was damaged in transit. 👻
MGS aka the Grinch decided he was ready to put himself away for the season. He’s officially hibernating until Halloween! Or, you know… until I get some other big brain idea. 😏💀
May good triumph over evil, on Diwali and every day after. 🪔
Anyone claim these two pumpkin heads? 🎃😂
Rule number 1 of ding dong ditch is that you never return to the scene of the crime.
Rule number 2 should probably be that you don’t do it at the skeleton house, because you’re guaranteed to be the one getting spooked when it’s all said and done. 😂😂
Last year, when I was taking apart my giant spider, half of the leg joints broke where they connect to the body. I ordered some replacement joints and received this GIANT box yesterday.
Unfortunately, the head they sent is for this year’s model and it has turned out to be a bit of a square peg, round hole situation (square peg, rectangle hole, to be specific). The legs and body won’t fit on the head, the head won’t fit on the base… so I used the original head and finagled it so 6 of the legs would attach, none of which are screwed on, and I’ve been working on attaching the two REALLY broken legs with epoxy and zip ties. So if any of my neighbors are wondering why my spider has 7 legs, just know that I tried. 😂😂
Please stay, it’s fine. Everything’s fine. 🙏🎃
Our inferno skeleton went up today! Here’s a time-lapse video of the process courtesy of my ring camera.
It’s starting to look like Halloween around here! 🎃
