I’m officially calling it done for this year! You might see a few new things here and there as I get time this month, but for the most part, everything is out, and most of it is consistently on.

I’ve had lots of visitors already, but looking forward to seeing more of you in the coming weeks. As a reminder, I am participating in Skeletons for St. Jude again this year, so make sure to scan the QR code on the sign out front to help more kids see holiday displays like mine. The good news is everything was already dead and if it’s too broken to put back up, the commute to the graveyard is short. The bad news is it looks like I am basically going to be starting over next week. Send help and sunshine.

Happy Friday Eve, everybody! Does anybody else celebrate Thursdays to get you through the week? Just me?

After a busy few weeks at work followed by lots of rain in the last couple of days, the likelihood that everything is ready to go by October 1 seems slim this year. That said, the rain has helped me finally be able to drive stakes and fencing into the ground and we are officially partially powered as of last night.

Some props and lighting will be on in the evenings, weather dependent, and hopefully in the next week or so I’ll have everything out and powered. In the meantime, please stick to the marked paths and keep an eye out for stray cords as I am waiting for some additional fencing supplies to be delivered.

Day 4! It’s coming along… I’m starting to get a pretty good idea of how it’s going to come together this year.

Boy, is it hot out there. If you see me looking a hot mess in the yard, no you didn’t. 🥵 Let’s all keep thinking warm thoughts for Halloween this year, though. Say no to snow! 👻☀️

Only two weekends left until Halloween! 🎃

Unfortunately, due to the chance of rain this afternoon, most animatronics and the projector will remain put up tonight. Everything else will be on as usual. 👻

Looking ahead at the forecast, I expect everything to be out tomorrow and Sunday, so plan stop by later in the weekend for the full effect.

Happy Friday the 13th!!

As we get closer to Halloween, we are starting to see traffic pick up outside, especially over the weekend. As a heads up, the forecast is calling for rain tonight and through a good chunk of tomorrow. Most animatronics will either be lying down/covered or moved inside completely and depending on the amount of rain, the lights may also be shut off. If you are planning a visit soon, I would recommend waiting until Sunday or even next weekend.

Keep an eye out for another predator of the night out around town. It’s a shame that people feel entitled to take what isn’t theirs and is up for everyone else to enjoy. I know first-hand how discouraging it is to get your props stolen!

I just recently moved from Columbus to Scipio. I set up a new halloween prop that I got as a housewarming gift, and the first night it was up, it was stolen by morning. I'm reaching out here to try and get the word out, it's 9 ft tall and 13 ft wide (so pretty unmistakable) if you have seen it or have heard anything about it please let me know or contact the Jennings Co. sheriff
