Yep. Sure are.

My philosophy is very simple...

If I can answer a question for you, so that you can get a good night’s sleep, please ask it. Even if I don’t know the answer at the moment, I still want my clients to ask the question.

OR, if needed, we will talk about the options and decide together.

I work with other wedding and event planners on and at "their" weddings and events all the time.

Someone asked me why I would do that and why I didn't prioritize having my "own" weddings and events.

✨ First, because I believe everyone can enjoy their wedding day and be fully present for those life-changing moments.

✨ Second, because I believe in community over competition, always.

✨ Third, I LIKE my fellow wedding and event planners (they are really cool people)!

✨ Fourth, my skill set is unique. After spending years in a convention center, I'm able to jump into an event, days or weeks before, and make it happen!

Are these controversial? I love them. (I also love using two spaces after punctuation, so there's that...)

I love it when a Couple thinks about their guests. Some weddings need assigned seating. Some don't. Talking about your guest demographics, relationships, the sticky parts of being humans, is something we get to do as we go through the wedding planning process.

Tonight, I'm sitting in my guest room, surrounded by empty suitcases, piles of clothing, piles of supplies, and working my way through my incredibly detailed checklist, packing for a girl's trip to Orlando.

Over the last few years, I have struggled to share my personal life on my business page. One of those millennial traumas, I suppose.

And, tonight I want to share with you, that I put just as much time and effort into planning your wedding or event that I do my own family's vacation.

🧐 I make a detailed list.
⤵️ I check it twice.
🎉 I check everything off as I pack it away.
🤌 And for some of the things, I hope I never have to use them, and I pack them anyways, because I want to be prepared.

Part of my vacation packing includes all those things I hope to not use:
🌧️ Rain jackets and ponchos
🩹 A solid first aid kit
🦠 Hand sanitizer and masks (okay, we're definitely going to be using these.)
☀️ Sunscreen (yep, we're using this too!)

Everything I've listed above, also comes with me to every wedding and event I've ever done and will ever do.

Because rain on your wedding day is good luck!

And waiting for a Band-Aid or a safety pin can be some of the longest moments when you're waiting to get back on the dance floor.

One of the things I really pride myself on, for every wedding and event I've ever done, is that I'm not just there for the couple or the person who hired me, I'm there for everyone.

While it may look like a lot, after 15 years in this industry, I pack what I know I might need and do my very best to be prepared.
