One of the many things I appreciate about BBQ is the community. The passion it takes to make BBQ amazing always seems to come from good people. And I LOVE seeing our community rally around those who are going through truly difficult times.

My buddy is definitely one of those “good people”. I just recently learned that Pat’s wife has been hospitalized for a while now. And him being the man he is, he’s been right by her side the whole time. Even as his wife got sepsis, he stayed strong for her, right by her side. I can’t imagine that kinda fear.
Thankfully, she’s doing a little better, day by day, with her family rallying around her and surrounding her with love.

Originally, this old welding table was 24“ x 36“, and .industries was about ready to throw it away. I was just getting into welding and needed a table. I was fairly new to welding at the time and I figured it’d be a cool project. I thought I’d put some casters on it, add a bottom shelf to put my welder on. I put some work into it, made some mistakes due to me being so new at welding, and then it sat for a months. Fast forward to a couple months ago, after a year of welding school, lil over a year of real welding work experience at , helped enlighten me to more mistakes than I earlier thought. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤣 So me and the angle grinder got to work fixing what “unschooled Sean” made mistakes on.
I went back to the drawing board and added a harbor, freight, welding table top to make it double the size. I think I’m about 3/4 of the way done, but you know how that goes. I’ll probably keep adding bells and whistles to this thing for a while. I’m sure you can point out all kinds of mistakes with this table, but I’m loving the learning process!! It’s awesome that all of my past construction experience (home remodeling, additions, and flooring) is coming together to be used with welding. Im excited to see how it’ll end up! The more I learn the more ideas I come ip with! I’m more hungry for accurate knowledge at 45 than I’ve ever been!! 👨🏻‍🏭Never stop investing in knowledge. It’s an investment into your future self.
