As it is now December, I can’t help but look back on the year…

to start, I want this page to feel much more personal, a place for me to post all of my work/behind the scenes & interact with people and other businesses, not just a formal business page. I was told years ago that if i ever were to start my own business it would be a missed opportunity if I didn’t make use of my last name, Woodmancy. Lately I’ve been doing all of this rebranding work and can’t stop thinking about how I just want everything to feel more personable to not only me but to you all as well, so it couldn’t be more fitting to change to “Woodmancy Media”.

Something shifted in me this year that has changed me in the best ways, especially in the career path of my life. Most of you know I attended college for digital cinematography. I graduated earlier this year but often contemplate going back in the spring for writing. Loving Confluence and never wanting to leave but also wanting to work on film sets don’t exactly mix. But writing can fit anywhere and has always been a part of me. Along with that I plan to continue photo and video as often as I can for the unforeseeable future. I’ve kept up with this business on and off for such a long time now. I know I’m not old but it feels like half of my life. But it’s just never felt this right before. I can’t even put into words how grateful I am for these past months and how everything has been going, the love my business has been shown and the faith that has been put in me as a creator. I’ve got to shoot and do things that I’ve never got to do before and even though these things seem small to the outsiders perspective, these are things I’ve been wanting to cross off of my list for such a long time.

I’ve never been good at social interaction, and I certainly am not the greatest at being honest about it, either. It often comes out in awkwardness or what seems to be disinterest. That has been very challenging for me in a business like this as you can imagine. However, I still recieve support from you all, time and time again. Again, I wish I could put into words how much that means to me. I work at it everyday, being someone who is more comfortable talking behind the camera rather than just using it. I can’t wait to continue to grow and share everything with you. Here’s to an early cheers to 2025. Oh, and keep a look out for an NYE giveaway 🥂🫶🏻

All photographers dream to nail down their style so people know EXACTLY what they’re getting when you book. Which makes perfect sense! While we use the same presets and editing process for each shoot please keep in mind your shoot will always look a little different than the last -due to weather/lighting, colors , location, etc! I am by no means perfect but I am loving the new style I’m nailing down since restarting, and loving that some of you love it too!

Slow Summer Evenings 🌄🧡😴

If you are following along to see everything I will have to share this year, welcome -and thank you. Since recently graduating from film school I am excited to finally take this year to dive into everything videography. The rest of 2024 is to let my creative thoughts come to life and really find my style and specialities. I already have so much planned (specifically for spooky szn, of course) and I cannot wait to share it and finally move from still life, to motion picture. & in 2025, I will be ready to take Valley Views from here, to there and everywhere for all of you. 🖤
