Monday night I got to hang with the industry’s heavy hitters in sound and djing. When I say I was fanboying a bit I’m not kidding. Just knowing the opportunity I had to connect with these amazing people is priceless! So hope the next one won’t take too much longer!!!!

So when you do trivia night for the first time at a venue and right about when trivia ends, a holiday party trickles in. Trivia over and pop on a few Christmas tunes to close out. The crowd is jammin to you tunes and getting tons of compliments. What do you do? Here’s what I did. I went to the manager and asked if he would like to have me leave the tunes on (no way I was going to be able to break down) and I had a few ppl coming to meet up. He said that would be cool. Party was over at 10. At 10 the people were just over the top party people and saying don’t stop. Now what would you do? I put my thinking cap on and said I’m going to keep it on til close 11pm. This here would show great face to NEW CLIENT and captured the attention of about 80 new potential clients. What did this cost me to get in front of so many people?? 2.5 hours of time I would have spent watching tv!

Don’t be afraid to throw a client a freebie at the holidays. I got paid for the trivia night as booked but networked with all of these potential clients.

Stay Humble….no better advertisement for the venue and your company!!!!! Luke Renchan Entertainment and DJ Rick Rolle the new power couple!!!!!
