It has been one week since the devastating fires swept through the Palisades and Altadena, and I find myself struggling to put my feelings into words. Growing up in Los Angeles the Palisades is a neighborhood we all aspired to live in. As a kid I spent countless days in the village, making memories-whether it engaging in typical high school adventures, spending hard-earned dollars at Pali skates, attending sports events at Pali high or sharing moments with family. It’s heartbreaking to see so many friends and families lose their homes in an instant. In times like these, I often find myself questioning why such horrific events happen to such good people, but the resilience and compassion of the Palisades community has been undeniable. In these challenging days, the outpouring of support from both neighbors and surrounding cities has been truly inspiring. To everyone affected by the Palisades and AltaDena fires, my heart is with you. Please know that we are here to support you in anyway we can. The path ahead may be uncertain, but someday we will dance once more through those breathtaking coastal hillsides. You know the saying, “Home is where the heart is.” For us Angelinos, LA is both our heart and our home. Seeing it shambles is a pain that’s hard to describe-one you can only truly understand if you’ve experienced the beauty and the spirit of the city yourself. We 💛 our Home, We 💛 LA
