How we became a catering company

In May 1993 John and I leased a little store front at 300 Beall Street and Baxter’s Beall Street Deli was created. We offered deli meats & cheeses, sandwiches, lunch specials, desserts, gift baskets, wine and catering. We became well known for our blackened chicken. We met many wonderful customers who are still loyal to us today. As time went on, we realized that the catering side of the business was taking over, so in 1997 we built a commercial kitchen in our home on Skyview Drive and we became Baxter’s Gourmet Catering. We now offer off-premise catering in Allegany Co., MD and the surrounding areas. We cater luncheons, dinners (for as few as 10 and as many as 300), parties for the home, and office, we also cater weddings (receptions, bridal luncheons, rehearsal dinners, and engagement parties). We make awesome decadent desserts, chocolates, gourmet gifts & custom wedding cakes. Planning and preparing foods for events is a passion, we love what we do and are blessed to have such wonderful friends and customers.
