Big week for me this upcoming week with the first of 3 jackpots at K & S Horse Company hosted by Pierson Performance Events on Thursday. So excited to do some outside barrels🤪📸

and then if you’re into shopping and love western fashion I’m hosting a western sip and shop night at my boutique Farmstead Rose Co-op. Lots of vintage items available from The Cowgirl Collective and upcycled flannels and pearl snaps from Sarah Baker.

Had so much fun shooting something a bit different today at Oak Park Pastures LLC for their Triathlon!

Photos are uploading right now (the second round of the open class is complete right now)

The youth rounds and open round 1 along with exhibition photos and some random candids are uploading and will be cropped and adjusted in the morning.

AUGUST 15th, 16th and 17th

These filled up for the last 3 shows and I have people expressing interest for them at Wisconsin NBHA finals so we’re going round 4!
I’m going to set aside some time to snap some of these photos at the August show in Elkhorn (August 15th-18th)

▪️Investment is $90
▪️15 minute sessions with 5 edited images per session.
▪️Come to your session with you and your horse ready to rock and roll.
▪️One Horse Per session - can add a second for $20

WELL - After getting stuck on the highway for over an hour due to a police stand off with a man who crashed a car into the construction zone after a police chase and then pulled a gun on police.....we were diverted back south and I had to drive an extra hour plus out of my way to get home.

BUT I MADE IT BACK FINALLY

I got right to work when I got home and got photo passes updated and all orders placed so far edited and sent out. If it isn't in your inbox yet, it is on its way.

Mini sessions will start being edited in the morning - this girl needs some serious sleep after today's excitement.

Currently parked on 35W with this happening up ahead of me.

I see some crazy s**t on the road with the amount of miles I put in in a year, but a guy with a gun is a new one 😅

At this rate I won’t be home for quite awhile but hey, I have snacks and a cooler of drinks 🤪

All mini sessions from last weekend have had their galleries delivered and I am caught up on orders. I leave tomorrow for a few days of rest before hitting the road again.

If you place an order tonight I will make sure to edit and process it before leaving, once I am gone I won’t be editing orders until I come home.

Horse people are typically all around animal people, now I know I am a bit of a collector myself with a total of 17 critters consisting of;
6 goats
1 cow
1 pony
2 horses
3 rabbits
2 dogs
2 cats

I’ve been riding as long as i can remember. I think I rode before i could walk 😉

My goals are to season my 4 year old and to work on myself. After taking a year off thanks to a shoulder injury, i am truly just trying to remember how to compete again.

She is a 4 year old , Kandyman mare. You’ll see her with her ears pinned most days. I bought her in September and decided in March to futurity her. She has a strong “personality”. I am thankful for everyone encouraging me to do this thing

My favorite horse memory is all the traveling I’ve got to do over the years. I have got to experience so many states and experiences thanks to these amazing animals

How long have you been riding?
I have been riding for 18 years.

What are your goals for 2024?

This year my goals are pretty simple, the first goal is to be consistent with my riding, keeping my hands smooth and quiet.

Since I’m just getting back into the swing of barrel racing again this year, I’m utilizing this as a year to get back in the groove with my mare, so our goals are much simpler.

Tell us about your horse(s):

The horse I’m currently running is Chanel memories “Lou” she’s a 13 year old mare. One fun fact about Lou is she has an under bite. I’ve owned her since she was 6. She’s one of the most quirky horses I’ve ever owned but she lays down a wicked first barrel every run. She also likes to pose and smile with her teeth for pictures.

Favorite horse memory:
When I was in high school every summer my dad and I would haul all over the country together competing. This is truly one of my favorite horse memories considering I was able to do what I love all while bonding with my dad!

Centrylink gave an update that my internet will be down until Thursday night 🙃

I trucked through about 40 orders today but now it’s time for me to take a little break until morning. 🥲

I as always appreciate you guys for being patient as my up north living takes its toll on my turnaround time. My phone hotspot is struggling to keep up and will probably run out of data (again) soon.

Good morning!

My internet at home is completely down as they are installing fiber optic lines (it’s been down since Saturday and they swore it would only take a few hours….)

I am starting to work on processing orders using my phones hot spot and then later tonight I will head into town and leech off of Starbucks for awhile.

Have no fear orders are getting done, just slightly slower than my normal🙈

The good news is once the fiber optic is available for me I’ll be unstoppable 🙌🏻
