Let’s talk about bridal shows and open houses. These events provide an opportunity to see vendors in their element. From florists to bakers to photographers and more, bridal shows and open houses let you meet your vendors before you book and ask any burning questions you have. I always recommend attending at least one bridal show early on in your engagement to gather ideas and vendor information. DFW has a variety of these events, often posted on Facebook events.

It’s and we’re here to answer some of our most popular questions. Something we get asked all the time is why venues require licensed and/or insured vendors? One word - liability! Vendors are human - just like you, they make mistakes. Things don’t always go to plan. But insurance and licensing ensures that they’re 1) trained to do what they’re advertising and 2) covered if something should happen, even if it’s a mistake. From venue damage to food poisoning, nothing is worse than realizing you’re facing a loss of deposit - or worse, lawsuit - after your big day.
