The 2024 season is upon, and as we rally for our 9th annual Tyler Celtic Festival we have begun to seek out new blood… We are looking for amazing and talented performers to appear at this year’s festival. Dancers, Singers, Musicians, Comedians, Buskers and more, anyone who has a skill or act that would fit into the immersion of a Celtic Festival or renaissance faire. The East Texas Paranormal Conference is looking for new and unique performers or speakers for this year’s conference. If you are an expert on anything paranormal, metaphysical or similar, we’d like to hear from you! Or, if you have a related performance you’d like us to showcase, we’d love to hear that too. This also includes those who host a ghost hunting show, YouTube channel, or podcast. If you are interested in speaking or performing this year, please shoot us a message to get started. The conference will be held on April 19th-20th, 2024 at 119 N Johnson St, Mineola, Texas. Speaking and performances will be during the day, from 10am-6pm, along with past life regressions, psychic readings and more. There is an optional overnight ghost hunt after at multiple locations in the area as well. Join us for an awesome year!

The 2024 Tyler Area Vampire Ball is upon us and will be held on February 10th. Since last year, we have been inundated with requests for the Ball to return to Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe. You all asked us to keep it there and we listened. We are proud will be returning to our special oddity and curiosity shop, but we have even more exciting news. This year we will be taking over TWO buildings that are connected. Yes, that’s right, we have EXPANDED!
With that being said, we will be pleased to offer you more unique vendors and brand new performers for our 6th year 🦇

Tickets will be going on sale this week, including our VIP packages as well. Stay tuned for more details on how to snag your tickets online!
In the meantime, our vendor application is now open! Use the link below to fill out the form, and we will be in contact with you shortly. Early Bird registration fees are $35 until December 31st, 2023, but can still be turned in until January 31st, 2024 (or until all spots are filled) for the normal fee of $45. Vendors spots are first come, first served and are 8’x8’ as standard but there may be a little extra wiggle room. Don’t wait to get your application turned in, as spots will fill up fast!

Are you an aspiring makeup artist? Or do you want to work in a haunted attraction? We have the perfect class for you!

We will be offering a special effects makeup class on September 9th, just in time for Halloween! This class will be focusing on how to make the perfect zombie look, and will teach several simple horror special effects you can apply to many different themes as well🧟‍♂️

All supplies are included in the class, everything you would need to become the eldritch horror you always wanted to be. Spots are limited and you MUST register in advance for the class in order to secure your spot. The deadline to register is September 2nd. The class fee is $60 per person, and you will meet at Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe. The class will be held from 2pm-4pm on September 9th, and will be hosted by a local makeup artist.

Alexis Ayrie Wilson has been doing SFX makeup professionally for 8 years and counting. She has worked with many haunted attractions in the area as and artist and actor, including with our own Annex of Terror just next door! As a special inclusion, you can get a backstage sneak peek of the Annex of Terror during the class in order to get a better understanding of how you can use makeup to contribute to a haunted attraction.

The $1 sidewalk sale is today, Saturday Aug. 12, from 10AM till 8PM at Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe (117 N. Johnson St) in Mineola, TX!! Everything on our tables outside is just $1 !!! Collectibles, jewelry, comic books, games, toys, clothes, costumes, tea, coffee, books, and so much more! New items added every other hour throughout the day! We have to make room for new merchandise! Come on out and see! And while you are there, take advantage of some sales and specials inside as well! Ice cold sodas are just $1 in our vending machine outside! Spread the word!!!

My favorite darlings...
It has been a real battle getting this far, but we are pulling all our perseverance together to put this show on for you. It is important to us to keep our community growing. We want to include everyone, including the fledglings coming up in the next generation. And that is why Cirque du Sang is so important! We want to have this ages 13+ up show for the baby bats and adults alike! It has been a long, long journey, with many obstacles. Unfortunately, our host venue, the Broken Bow Asylum has had to close its doors forever. We battled our best against it, and with a dear friend, but it just was not in the cards. With that being said, we are still putting on the show. We are not giving up. We have secured an amazing venue to host Cirque du Sang, and we think you all will really like it. We will be hosting Cirque INSIDE the Annex of Terror haunted house this October. We have booked the entire haunt for this private event, which we have chosen to move to Saturday October 7th, in time for Halloween! Vendors and performers will be inside the haunt itself, and you will be welcome to travel between scenes in the creepy cool haunted atmosphere along the trail. You can mingle with others, purchase fang-tastic wares, and watch some amazing performances all along the haunted attraction, which will set the perfect mood. The haunted attraction will not be operating while the event is going on, but we encourage you to come back and check it out on a normal night too to get your Halloween on!

The Tyler Celtic Festival is upon us once more for our 8th annual celebration! This year, it will be May 26th-29th for a four day long weekend of festivities 🍀
Our Celtic fest is akin to a mini renaissance faire, with a focus on celebrating our Celtic heritage! With lots of performers, artisans, games of skills, and more, you will be immersed in a world full of magic ✨
The address is 15972 Hwy 64 East Tyler, 75707 (just 3mi past Chapel Hill High school on the right heading east toward Arp). We encourage you to dress up and have fun! And, you don’t have to be of Celtic descent to join us, we’ll welcome you no matter what. The more, the merrier!

Welcome back for our 5th year! If you are interested in becoming a vendor or performer for the Tyler Area Vampire Ball being held on Saturday February 11th, please fill out this application. Once your application is received, you will be contacted within 48hrs of submission for an approval on the application and further instructions on vendor fee payment. Vendor applications will be accepted until January 31st, 2023 for a base fee of $45. Early Bird applications will be accepted until January 10th for a fee of $35 instead. The booths are 8x8 as standard, but there is a little wiggle room on this. If you have a concern, please contact us. The 2023 Ball will be held just outside of Tyler at Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe (117 N Johnson St Mineola, Tx 75773). This building is actually an old funeral home, so there will be plenty of shadows to lurk in. What better way to party than dancing with the dead? Our Early Bird Vendor Registration for Cirque du Sang is coming to a close. Right now, vendor spots are only $40! On August 1st, this will go up to $50! Make sure to sign up now for your booth and save.
Cirque du Sang translated literally, means Circus of Blood. This will be a real vampiric treat, of freaks, terror, and creatures of the night. Come enjoy a full festival evening of daring acts, lovely dancers, and of course, an assortment of dastardly vendors. And the best part yet… Cirque du Sang will be held in the eerie Broken Bow Asylum in Broken Bow, Oklahoma! The event is hosted by the Royal Vampire Court of Tyler, who of course plan the Tyler Area Vampire Ball every year. This will be from 5pm to midnight for a whole night of fun! We’re getting ready for our fall play in 2022!

The Historic Select Theater & Lake Country Playhouse will preset “The Haunting of Hill House,” based on the classic novel by Shirley Jackson. This is an eerie tale of the paranormal, and of the spooky things that go on during a scientific investigation on psychic ability. This play is directed by Alexis Wilson, a new addition to the playhouse! Open auditions for all seven roles will be held on the dates and times below. A brief synopsis of each character and their general age has also been added at the bottom as well. Come one, come all, even if this is your first time on the big stage, let’s give it a shot!

Audition Times:
July 11th at 7pm
July 18th at 7pm

The play will run in late September and rehearsal will start Monday August 1st!

Our chakra cleansing appointments sold out very quickly at the Tyler Paranormal Conference, so we decided to offer them again!

That right, you can come and buy a bottle to fill with your choice of tea. And then you can kick back and relax in our nice and cool lounge before you get back to the festivities!

We are making a few changes to our stock, and we will now be offering a bulk tea along with our reusable single bags! One bag makes 24 cups of sweet, delicious tea. And of course, we will be back with our honey sticks, plus a few other nifty items.

So come hang out in our tea bar & lounge this weekend at the Tyler Celtic Festival! We will be there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for triple the fun!
